I'd like to know what your thoughts are. Curiosity did not kill the cat - Kitty Mama aka Laurel rescues them all.![]()
Maybe so but she still allows certian posters to be trolled in the sacred GB Lounge. Ask her what's up with that for me, since she seems to ignore my reservations.![]()
I just had a look and saw that thread in question.
That's not merely trolling; it's online bullying.

I think it was more of a community fifteen years ago, but there are still some places where people can gather and feel welcome. They are just harder to find.
Hi.![]()
The members fluctuate as well I think. As in there are more users/posters than 15 years ago. Plus the gb has a reputation for being a bit of a hardass board so that might make a few a bit hesitant about dipping their toes in the gb pool and see if it is to their liking.
I know I've wandered off several times depending what is going on in my life.
You can be sad about starving kids in third world countries and not be all that emotionally committed.
Unless you meet face to face you can never be 100% about any WWW persona. Computers break or job gets in the way. No biggie if contact is lost.
I prefer RL attachments. Even minor ones. The WWW is just not that real to me.

I get that you have to take personalities with some skeptism but also I think too much is equally a little unhealthy.
I also perhaps am a little MORE skeptical about real life relationships and honesty. People lie and cheat and commit triad and all kinds of shit in real life relationships all all the time. I think 'seeing' helps add information, without doubt, as does smelling and hearing and the clues they give besides what is said. But I don't know if I often take what is said to me in real life at face value either.
I met Jezzi here, and I love her like a sister.
Well said.
It's rare to find a GB denizen that is the same in the flesh as they want to portray themselves online.
Yeah, I edited my post so it was lessabout Jezzi and more a general truth for me. For e ample, there are a good handful of people I met on gb who are in my heart.
1.You're luckier than I've been, the only people I've met from the GB have been the Hashtag types I bumped into at Fet munches, and aside I mentioned I knew who they were on Lit.
I don't care much for Fet munches, I care less for married people that put on eyeliner once a quarter and pontificate upon everyone else with their experience.
Jezzi just floats above that horseshit, that's why we're both lucky to have met her.
