When I was young wanted to be a nurse, lawyer or an air hostess.

I have been a dairy/beef farm girl, checkout operator, barista, MUM, market researcher, (focus groups - online and off) phone researcher - not selling but surveys on all sorts of topics from beer to social issues and lastly palliative carer.

As an adult I've decided when I do finally grow up I want to be The TARDIS.™ ;)

So what did you want to be and if you want to tell me what have you ended up becoming/doing in the way of employment or to earn a crust? :)

Airline pilot. Later I wanted to be the crew chief for a baja 1000 team. Custom car builder. Orthopedic surgeon.

What I have actually done is everything but that.

Air weapons tech. Colour and general vision said no to that. Was a supply tech. Not very inspiring career even if logistics is important part of combat arms. Became sheet metal worker which was my high school specialty. Later in life went for motorcycle mechanic but chosen shop and boss was a flop.

I wanted to fly F-18's for the Canadian Forces (well at first it was Voodoo's, then it morphed into F-18's). Mostly because going fast and blowing shit up is fabulous.

I ended up leaving home when I was 16 because mum wouldn't let me have a motorcycle, became a weekend warrior reservist infantryman, blew shit up and still go too fast on motorcycles. And yeah it's still fucking fabulous, haa haa.

Military pilot and fly cargo planes afterwards. But my vision changed in my teens and I didn’t have the uncorrected vision for that though so I went into a number of other things along the way.

My dad was learning to fly after he got out of the Navy but he started passing out after reaching certain altitudes. Not a good mix but hearing him tell stories about the short time he did fly inspired my cousin to take it up. He's been a pilot for Delta and Northwest for over 35 years.

I wanted to be a singer or a teacher and a mom (haha!)

While I still sing (for fun) I get to teach daily at my job (I am a Nurse... a lot of people said I should be one and I said NOOOO. And here I am... long term goal: To teach other nurses =3 )

And not a mom yet. One day I hope. My greatest want.

Although tbh I wanna just be a rich stay at home Korean drama chick who plays video games (Oh my dreams... And I'd get bored as hell in 5 days max lol!)

I wanted to be and still am a musician. That morphed into recording engineer and record producer and eventual studio owner.

I pretended there were things I desperately wanted to be, because that's what everyone else did. Looking back, it was horseshit. I just wanted to be away.

Why do you think I got my motorcycle license as soon as I could (Feb birthday, March was the earliest in Canuckistan you could take the test, telling them I've been riding illegally for a year and could ride in snow didn't up my test date, lol)

The grass is always greener...I had an FWB that worked in the circus. All she wanted to do was run away and be an adult, lol.

(fun th'd btw, high five)

I wanted to be either a sports commentator or the guy that changes the sight screen at the cricket.

A pirate.

I became an entrepreneur until I was unable to continue doing so.
I hope to go back to that.

I wanted to be a vet but there is too much science and stuff involved. Plus I could never put an animal to sleep.

NFL Quarterback.
Still would love to be one but that would never happen in a billion years.
I live vicariously through Tom Brady on that dream lol
