How, did this happen?
I am sure that some of the people of Rome were stunned, when Julius Caesar climbed to the top of the heap.

Our very own Emperor Carrot, Donald, the first of his name, would not be alone, in preferring his own, private semi- tropical paradise in Florida. Emperor Tiberius did not want his job, and preferred to stay away from Rome. Caligula would rather play and relax at the vacation villa. Nero, too, found little joy in the work that was demanded from the head of a empire.
It was shocking to hear that Jesus, the Christ of Christians, may have been involved in a conspiracy that got him killed. Tiberius is ruling from his vacation villa, and hands the responsibility of the kingdom, and the empire, to Sejanus.
Sejanus, so infamous, a play was written about him in the 1600s, by Ben Jonson.
"The Emperor Tiberius raises a statue to honour Sejanus, unaware that his right hand man is ruthlessly working his way to the top, destroying everyone in his path. No one can stop him, but his fall is inevitable."
"This play was published in 1605, the year of the Gunpowder Plot. Ben Jonson was no stranger to controversy in both his life and his work. Sejanus was performed two years earlier, and Jonson was called before the Privy Council to answer charges of treason. It is not known what was removed before the play was published. A theory is that the play was too 'popish' as Jonson was a Catholic."

America has her God/god and her Goddess/goddess guarding over her. The colossus Abraham Lincoln and Columbia, should have come to life and crushed the White House, with Emperor Carrot and his cronies, inside. But, alas, the stone Gods/gods of Rome did not come to life when Caligula took the throne.
The talk against Tiberius, was that he was not concerned or focused on "the people." The talk that Emperor Carrot used, was that Hillary Clinton and President Obama were not concerned or focused with "the people" of America.
Jesus Christ wanted to change everything, and worked to subvert power away from the politically connected law keepers and record keepers of the temple. Herod Antipas's alliance would let him get away with his subversion and was his ally in opposition. Herod Antipas financed Jesus's subversion with patronesses.(A little sexual sinning did not get in the way of ambition. Both, Herrod Antipas and Jesus had ambitions.

Like his father’s city of Caesarea, it was built according to Greco-Roman ideas of civic planning; and also like Caesarea, he made the city his capital. He also named it after his patron, the Emperor Tiberius, and renamed the lake upon which it stood the Sea of Tiberius too, just to make sure the Emperor noticed.
Unfortunately, he had trouble at first getting his Jewish subjects to settle in his new city, because he had built it on a Jewish cemetery. Eventually, though, the city became a center for rabbinic learning.
Early in his reign, he entered a strategic marriage with the daughter of King Aretas IV of Nabatea, a desert kingdom bordering Perea. But soon he became interested in another girl, his niece Herodias, who happened to be married to his half-brother Herod Philip.

Life, birth, school, work, death
and a little bit of yikes
Old Time Religion
The myth of the birth and infancy of Dionysos is complex and replete with psychological, philosophical and religious metaphor. Zeus (the perverted, incestuous father) violated his young daughter Kore (later Persephone). She bore him a son, Dionysos. The child was in great jeopardy from the moment Hera, the alert and ever suspicious wife of Zeus, discovered the betrayal. She roused the Titans to attack the child. These monstrous beings set upon him as he was gazing at his reflection in a mirror (Argentum). They cut him to pieces with knives and after the murder devoured the dismembered corpse. But the heart (Aurum) of the infant god was saved and brought to Zeus. Acting swiftly, Zeus swallowed the heart, which contained the godling’s essence. Soon after, Zeus, disguised as a mortal, seduced Semele, the daughter of King Cadmus of Thebes and Dionysos was again conceived. Unfortunately, nothting escaped the eagle eye of Hera. Her jealousy and hatred were implacable (sycosis). When Semele was six months with child, Hera, assuming the guise of a trusted maidservant, prompted her to insist that Zeus reveal himself to her in his true form. Having previously prom*ised to grant her any request, he reluctantly complied, and she was consumed by his fiery radiance. Semele, like so many Thuja lovers, was the sacrificial victim of her own passion. Zeus saved the unborn baby by cutting open his thigh and implanting the foetus there. When the time for Dionysos’s second birth came, Hermes (Mercury) acted as surgeon and midwife (caesarian section). Thus, Dionysos was called: “twice born” or the “risen-god”. Foster parents appointed by Persephone reared him. Fearing the continued wrath of Hera, Persephone advised them to keep him in the women’s quarters disguised as a girl; this probably contributed to his androgynous nature.
