Con artist demands to be treated like royalty

Though no longer in residence at this golden tower, the con artist never lets an opportunity slip by to remind the plebes where they stand in comparison to his YUUUUUUGE ego. To reinforce this, the con artist has demanded he ride with Queen Elizabeth II in her gold-plated royal carriage when he visits the United Kingdom this fall.

Lest one think "demand" is a bit over-the-top, that is the pound of flesh the con artist wants to extract, claiming no less a spectacle will be tolerated. Needless to say, the British security services have pointed out a few flaws in this demand:

The carriage “would not be able to put up much resistance in the face of a rocket propelled grenade or high-powered ammunition,” one security source told the Times of London, noting that tens of thousands of people are expected to protest Trump’s visit.

“Armour-piercing rounds would make a very bad show of things,” the source added.​

The lack of any class, in any capacity, shown by the con artist is in stark contrast to his predecessor. [Former] President Obama spared his hosts the trouble in 2011, instead speeding to the palace in a bullet and bomb-proof car.

A White House spokeswoman called the report “completely false.”

“We have not even begun working on details for this trip,” the spokeswoman said.

That sounds like an accurate timetable for this administration.

The golden coach is not gold plated. It is made of wood painted with gold leaf paint and gilded with gold. It is only used for state occasions which do not include state visits. Open topped Landau are normally used for these occasions.

I doubt the security services would allow 45 to ride in either since they offer no protection whatsoever. I also doubt that our own royal protection squad would allow it since it would put her majesty too close to a target.

The security offered to our royal family is trivial compared to POTUS. Even Margaret Thatcher had ten times the security offered to The Queen for the simple reason that there were a lot more people who wanted to kill Margaret Thatcher.
