What does this mean?

hanibtorr  has added your story to a List.

Found it on the recent activity section of my author page. Never seen it before so I was wondering what it meant.

There's a feature called "Reading List" in the new control panel. Once the new story pages are live, people will be able to click a button to save the story for later reading. For now, you can use the feature either by searching or moving a story from your favorites list to the reading list in the new control panel.

Now me? I'm stupid. :)
But I can read the Instructions, - usually.
Where do I find them for this feature, please?

On your new home page, take a jump to the left and click "Reading Lists".
Look right, and you'll see a big fat plus + sign. Click.
There's your drop box - copy and paste the story link (oh, you'll need the story open in another Tab).
Done.

Your problem, HP, is you expected instructions, whereas you've got web conventions, now.

I've not used it, but it looks like a good idea for the perennial browsers who want to keep a "to be read" reading list - the only way to do that in the old system was to "fave" a story - which then sent a message of false optimism to the poor old writer.

Oh come on now... That's the only optimism this poor old writer has! Seeing those red hearts on my activity page makes me happy.

In addition to Favorites and Read Later, the Lit Reading Lists feature is also intended to be used for discovery in the future. Every Lit member will be able to publish public Reading Lists to be shown on their member profile.

If a member is into stories about tall black women named Lisa, they can create a custom Reading List to share all of the Lit stories that match that criteria with other readers who have similar interests.

For public Reading Lists, we expect to make the list of Reading Lists that each story is included on available to authors. For private Reading Lists, we can't show the list name for privacy reasons.

As RejectReality posted, this feature will become more useful and obvious once the new public pages are rolled out. :D

Oh my... That presents the useful functionality for authors to create lists that show the relationships between stories without assigning them to a series. Or, as things stand now, giving them titles that will assign them to a series.

I could list all the Nobles stories, in chronological order, so I won't have to add it to author's notes, update my bio all the time, or refer people to my website for the timeline.

It will make my life a whole hella lot easier when you roll that out :)
