I am reaching out to the community for opinions. Is it a faux pas to have a story written in the male first person but then have it recorded for audio in a female voice?

That could be hot, depending on the female voice.

Do you have someone who speaks like the women who does commercials during NFL football? She's hot. I wish I could talk like her (lol). I can write sexy like that but I can't talk like that.

Raised with four brothers, I was more of a Tomboy.

Go for it. It should be fun.

Good luck with your story.

I can't see how that would work - a male narrator/character with a woman's voice? It would seem odd to me, at least.

I humbly disagree with the last two comments.

A woman narrating a man's story would add a sexy twist.

No horny man wants to listen to a man narrating his story but they'll listen to a woman talking about sex.

I think there's lots of things that you can do with this premise. You could even have the female voice add her own comments.

I still say that you should go for it. You can always change it back to the voice of a testosterone filled wrestler (lol).

I think the answer is Yes.
It's plain daft to have some bird reading the man's part UNLESS
it's part of a setup of some sort (think a female plod reading a man's statement).
.

I think it would cause some confusion, unless you established early on that the story was from the point of view of a man. Perhaps a good idea to even write into the narration a reason why the woman is reading it instead of the man - perhaps it was a story that she found on his computer or something similar.

I've come up against this resistance many times before.

The men on this site don't like women. I don't know why that is. I mean, they must like women to write about women but they don't appreciate women who write erotica just as they don't tolerate women who post to the forum boards.

Now, with your story written from a man's point of view, how dare you have a woman read that (lol)? What? A woman reading porn? Are you crazy (lol)?

The forum boards are the sacred sanctuary of men. This is one of the last all boy clubs (lol).

"Men, men, men, men. Men, men, men, men."

Don't believe me? Look how few women have the courage to post here.

When I first started writing here 10 years ago, there were lots of women posting their opinions on the forum boards. Now, they're all gone, gone, gone, gone, but me and a few stranglers.

Why? Men chased them away. Men were either mean, insulting, and/or disrespectful to women in the way that some of the men here are mean, insulting, and/or disrespectful to me.

Yet, I don't blame those who post here. I blame the owner. I blame Laurel. I blame her moderators. Perhaps Laurel doesn't like women either. Perhaps she's not a woman but a man. Perhaps her real name is Larry.

It wouldn't surprise me if she's a man in the way that she never has come to my aid or defense even when I was unmercifully attacked by multiple men at a time.

I still say, the story would be very hot to be read by a woman with a sexy voice. That's just my opinion, the opinion of a prolific writer who has written more than 2,000 stories and poems of more than 10 million words that have amassed more than 300 million hits.

What do I know? I'm just another hack writer. I'm just a dumb woman.
