Schumer is betting that McConnell doesn't have the balls to go nuclear.
Personally, I hope they do because I want to watch them have to live with the reality that they cannot afford to have one of their partisans suddenly die because then, you know, Republicans get to pick another one for their team...
The Democrat base has become so toxic, so bat-guano crazy that they can no longer think any further out on the horizon than Trump must be destroyed today; we are the nuclear option and we're going to get him impeached just as soon as we have the evidence that his team conspired with Putin's team to deny us replacing on of theirs with one of ours.
