I have been getting Bad Gateway or Connection timed out for about 12 hours. Nothing has been working beyond Lit's front page.

Even logging in I have had a message - site insecure.

The log in message comes from Firefox suggestion that my identity and password are compromised on Literotica.

We have been working on the site today (upgraded some software), so there could have been intermittent downtime during about a five hour period.

If you are currently seeing any type of errors related to the site - including security or logins - please let me know more details. If you can share the URLs and error messages, that would be helpful in tracking down any post-upgrade issues.

Thank you! :D

For me, the site started working consistently about 40 minutes ago.

I was getting the Bad Gateway thing for the last 7 or 8 hours. Just cleared up sometime in the last hour.

Can you share the URL?

Thank you!

Pretty sure this is just related to a Firefox update:
https://www.thesslstore.com/blog/firefox-52-adds-insecure-password-warning/

But can anyone seeing these errors let me know if they have appeared since today's upgrades? If so, please post the URL(s) where you see the errors.

Thank you again. :D

I believe this was it.

And yes, the bad gateway thing has stopped.

This definitely looks like the Firefox update. They are encouraging everyone to move over to HTTPS. The main Lit site is almost fully on HTTPS, but it looks like we should update the HTTP forwarding to HTTPS on a few URLs and move the forum over to HTTPS as well. All of that should happen in the future.

This is not a security issue as much as a change in the way they expect the web to work in the future when they want everything to be on HTTPS. It's a more secure way to transfer data.

Thank you again for the extra information! :D
