New poll:

“The GenForward poll reported by The Associated Press found that 57 percent of young adults see Trump’s presidency as illegitimate, including three-quarters of black respondents and large majorities of Latinos and Asians,” wrote Brooke Seipel on Saturday.

The poll showed that 53 percent of white young American adults feel that Trump occupies the Oval Office legitimately, but 55 percent of those respondents rated his job performance negatively.

A meager 22 percent of young adults approve of the president’s job performance with 62 percent disapproving.

Pavlovian response to their initial brainwashing. They'll grow out of it with age and wisdom or when they stop to read the Constitution.

Goes to show how well public education is working LOL

Fucking morons don't even understand how the US elections work, must not be part of standardized testing....imagine that.

Once they start making a little money in their 30's they figure out socialists only want a piece. :)

And in their 30s they think they are invincible and never will require expensive health care and they don't give two thoughts of how they are going to live in retirement. They also don't give a thought who coming up behind them is going to have to change their diaper when they are 150, which they assume they are going to reach. And as long as they have their electronic toys, they don't think about how the road running between them and the grocery store got there and remains navigable or why the food they buy doesn't poison them--or how it got into the store at a--or why there isn't an armed Chinese soldier ringing their doorbell.

And, since we have Donald Trump as president, a whole shitload of people didn't give two thoughts to their self-interest. They watched the guy with the orange wig doing a shell game in front of them and vaguely remember that he was on TV--so of course he should get their vote.

No but I knew what the electoral college was and how the US elections functioned.

Most of these Millennials probably know as much about that as you do, they just don't like it.

And their generation is going to be in charge someday.

They are either ignorant or so mentally damaged they just can't cope with reality.....either way it looks pitiful.

Sucks to be them.....king of the flaming shit pile OHHH!!!!

Clearly they don't mean "illegitimate" in a legal, constitutional sense. Remember, millions felt the same way about W, for the same reason -- electoral college trumped popular vote.

But that constitutional arrangement will change in two or three decades, if not sooner.

LMFAO!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!

(D) cheer leading taken to a whole new level of Monsanto/FDA dick sucking ignorance.

Whenever I want nuanced and informed opinions I always check in with the 18-30 year olds.

Well unless I want to figure out which video game to buy. They are very good at that.

Clearly how the fuck would you know what they "mean"? If you can't read a federal statute, I'm less than confident about your ability to interpret poll results.

What other sense would one us that term regarding a presidents presidency?

Illegitimate = not legal, under pretty much all definitions of the word according to google.

So they either think he cheated, or they think our president is elected by popular vote.

Either way they are ignorant and wrong.

The constitution is already a thinly worn shit ticket on it's last leg, I have no doubt we'll be going down the socialist shit trail until 1,000 people in this country are living in gold palaces while the rest are forced to starve because only the government farms can grow food!!!

It's for our safety after all. ;)

It's hard to muster any empathy for the 18-to-30 demographic. Actions have consequences. The 18-to-30 cohort turned out at the polls in much smaller numbers last November. Trump is the result of their antipathy.

Did you see how Betsy DeVos screwed over college students this week by issuing new regulations that benefit banks at the expense of students with regards to student loans?

Good article today about how rural America is slowly realizing to their own collective horror that THEY are the "welfare queens" that Trump railed against.

"Whaddya mean you ain't gonna subsidize my heating oil bill no more? I got cancer!"

Unfair. They ended up with a choice between a tantrum throwing, bigoted conman and a sly, dishonest, power hungry pro. It's hard to muster enthusiasm to support merely the lesser of two evils.

Apathy often stems from feeling powerless to effect change. I didn't vote when it was between Blaire and Cameron, because politically they seemed equally as shite.

Rob, you read NYT to figure out what's going on in rural America? :D

Do you also read GQ to find out the latest in ranching technology?

Maybe Seventeen to check on the stock markets? LMFAO!!

That's almost as good as KO telling me all about the vibe of red America, because a Salon article told him so.

Hey!! At least you're trying to read something!!

Maybe next you can school us all with your wicked Mother Jones article on what the best sized turbo for a 2014 Dawj Cumminz Diesel on the street is.

I can't figure out which cohort gets shit on the most: boomers or millenials. I know a lot of millenials with college degrees who are working 2+ jobs, and those who are going to school FT and working, and they are all politically engaged. They think Trump is an idiot. And most of them went to the polls in November. What gets forgotten in the fiasco of the last election is that the FBI intruded into the election process nine days before the polls opened. And let's get real, the real welfare queens are the wealthy and corporations.

Yea that's what I thought.

Hey there's a Cosmo article on muscle cars you have just got to read if you want to get a feel for the muscle car community. LOL

He's legitimate alright. It's not Trump's responsibility to prove he is the president. It's their responsibility to accept it. :)
