Here's your claim.

Those with degrees in Education got into college with the lowest SAT scores of any of the 4 year degrees.

Your cite doesn't back that up at all. Here's what your cite says.

These were prospective majors, there's no way to prove these people actually went on to get degrees in the field they claimed they were interested in or any proof that they got degrees at all. Furthermore filling out that part of the SAT is optional, so there's no way to prove that every student who sat for the SAT filled out that questionnaire.

You also claimed that Education majors had the lowest score of anyone seeking a 4 year degree but your link doesn't even back that up. There were 12 degrees that ranked lower.

My guess is that you'll respond with more name calling.

I have no idea what you know so that is why I asked. It is completely presumptuous and silly to assume you know what I know. You asked how I knew what I know and I told you I lived through public school and college. I stated most tests came from teachers and not the state. Teachers say that testing them is unfair as does not reflect their abilities. There are many points you choose to ignore. Teachers give tests to students and give them a grade.Yet somehow the idea of testing teachers is unfair.

How can the test be unfair to people who have ostensibly been studying to do nothing more than teach? For his point to be even slightly valid means that the people training the pool have failed to make them aware of what is involved in taking a literary test...

The reenforces the point that I originally made, that is, the problem is with the quota system forcing the hiring of teachers of lesser ability. If you fail a test, it implies one of two things that the candidate did not do due diligence in school, or they just aren't really bright enough to be put into a classroom...

That there were some lower than they were is not applicable when most of them are trade education and educations that do not require a great degree of literacy. The fact that they are scoring consistently lower than everyone else is very important considering the focus of their preferred profession.

Which brings me back to my original question, what are you basing that on? As a student you don't know if the test was a decision from the teacher, the state, the board, or the school admin. If you have some type of proof, I'd love to see it, but most kids aren't collecting data on stuff like that when they're in school.

We've had many discussions on grade inflation leading to reduced quality of students getting accepted into college based not so much on merit but as to how many Federal dollars they can bring to the college, but Liberals are unable to grasp the full, and unintended consequences of their caring, concern and magnanimity.

And it is from this pool that the required quota of minority teachers is being drawn from.

Anecdotal story here. Both of my neighbors daughters graduated from a private school and both qualified for scholarships at Univ. BUT their first semester schedule consisted of mostly remedial High School. They both protested and were able to test their way out of those courses (for a fee). The point being that the colleges are charging to teach that which should have been learned in High School. Obviously the Univ. aren't complaining, it's a revenue stream. It is, on the other hand, an indication of the sorry state of primary and secondary public education.

The teachers would tell us if a test was mandated by someone else. Were you confused at where the SAT came from? Where you confused at where the test you were taking come from the teachers last week of lectures.
