Based on new Quinnipiac poll.

Among the many questionable claims that have come from the White House over the past month and a half, one of the most questionable came from an unexpected source: Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month, Priebus asserted that the policies President Trump had outlined to that point met with the approval of 80 percent of the American public. We considered that claim and determined it to be true — if you considered only Republicans to be Americans.

An expansive new poll from Quinnipiac University allows us to look at the question more closely. The pollsters gauged public opinion on a broad range of issues that have already emerged from the Trump White House — policy on Russia, transgender school bathroom use, deportations. On only one did more people agree with Trump’s position than oppose it.

That one is "Increasing federal spending on infrastructure."

I think we've established that polls don't really work. :)

Actually Hillary pretty much got him elected. People were so sick and tired of the libs whining about how horribly racist and sexist etc this country is that they went the other way and now we really do have a racist sexist homophobic country.

Some commentator on MSNBC was just ripping it, calling it typical of a profession that was almost 100 percent wrong on the presidential election.

Did he give any specifics as to why the polling methodology is suspect?

She did.
Twice. Then she came up for air.
It was all pretty hot, actually.

Then you should be able to, after washing your hands, link her arguments, cites & stats. (And kindly link the clip as well. [zzzzzzziiiiiipppppp] . . .)

Of all the people who probably don't give 1/10th of a shit about the "new Quinnipiac poll," President Trump is probably at the top of the list. If you could convince him that he was going to lose both the House and Senate majorities in two years, I suspect he would say, "REALLY?!?! You mean I have two whole years to kick ass and take names?''

If there was ever a guy who lives in the moment and doesn't look too far in advance and almost not at all in the past, it's this guy. That's not to say he doesn't hold grudges. That's a whole different issue.

Trump budget expected to seek historic contraction of federal workforce

By Damian Paletta March 12 at 7:47 PM

President Trump’s budget proposal this week would shake the federal government to its core if enacted, culling back numerous programs and expediting a historic contraction of the federal workforce.

This would be the first time the government has executed cuts of this magnitude — and all at once — since the drawdown following World War II, economists and budget analysts said.
