The Living Works of Art Challenge

Ares Ludovisi with my lame props again.

I believe I'm down to just the Rebellious Slave to go.

You continue to do a wonderful job, I can't wait to see your Rebellious Slave! Thank you again for doing all of them!!

It's simple: if I can be assured of sufficient participation to produce a vibrant exhibit on a weekly basis, I would be willing to re-open the museum with some additional challenges.

Having enough patrons visiting the museum was never an issue, it was having enough "artwork" submitted for display on a weekly basis that eventually resulted in my decision to end it. The first time around we started with about 10 exhibitors a week, but eventually it was just three of us.

Right now, it looks like we have one interested participant. OK, two, because I would never back down from my own challenges.

Museums are selective in their exhibits. Art shows usually only focus on one artist at a time. Whether you have three exhibitors or twenty it's doing the show that counts. The patrons love the exhibits no matter the variety.

Well this thread has been a wonderful find! Kudos to the model participants.

I was an art major as an undergrad . . . my parents will be so pleased to know I have found a rewarding outlet for my critically trained eye. :)

Please keep it coming.

Bravo, G. For this one and all of them. You have done a great job . . . and so quickly, too.

Thanks man. I had some pretty good examples set, so it wasn't that tough.

What are your thoughts on doing another run of challenges at this point?

I was kind of hoping to get a few more gentlemen to commit to it. Maybe we should ask the ladies to recruit?

Well unless the ladies actually live with the men or help them take the pics they only have so much influence.

I like the notion of having more time for each work of art. If you extend the window you can also offer up multiple options per display. That way it's easier for each artist to find something that fits their style while also giving the extra motivated enough material to fill the longer time between displays.

Just my two cents.

Cheers

I appreciate the thoughts, but you didn't answer the burning question in my mind . . . will you join us for another round?;)
