How You Can Support Women Today

Supports affirmative action != regularly discriminates against white males.

How is it not?

Oh and he's supported BLM and Justice Democrats...and I'm sure all the other "Fuck white guys" groups you two love so dearly.

Also supported a woman today, bought food from her Deli.....because she's working instead of bitching.

I think most people understood that about your thread (myself included).
But being the nonPC crowd that they are, they couldn't help themselves from making jokes about that aspect of the topic. Yours was the only thread about the topic, unfortunately.

My first encounters with the more awkward PC aspect of such celebrations happened in primary school.

They were an ordeal for the boys who were given a low budget by their parents, yet didn't want to hurt the feelings of all girls by playing favourites. Some chose to give their gifts in secret, others just called in sick and skipped that day.
Then one of them came up with the idea of buying a semi-cheap box of chocolates, pinning little flags in them and serving all the girls in the class. So clever and cute.
Of course there were also the dickheads who intentionally threw it in girls' face that they were playing favourites.
Most girls didn't expect anything, but it felt just as awkward for them.
What the fuck does that have to do with anything, you fucking brain dead oxygen thief?

I guess you must have been the type who offered a "Fuck you bitch" and a foot up their ass to most of his classmates,
on such festive occasions.

Oh so it's really not about rights? What's it about thinking you can just walk off the job without being fired? What the hell is it about?

It's about women knowing they can never have quite the same opportunities as men with the same qualifications and better access to the old boy network. It's about women who can't walk down the street in broad daylight without getting hooted at and don't dare walk down it at night. It's about things like this:

No, it isn't.

It's defined and considered a discriminatory pretty much anyone with a clue.

The overwhelming majority of that discrimination was against white guys and it continues to be as such.

How is a policy that restrains opportunity for white guys because white guys....not anti-white?

It was good weather today, to take the long pilgrimage to the local, small, women equality supporting business.

They sell vegetarian and cruelty free from independent small businesses.

The women were missing.

:cattail:

But, I liked putting pennies in their pockets.

Resist buttons.

Lead organizers of the Women's March on Washington, including activists Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, and Carmen Perez, were among a small group of protesters arrested in Columbus Circle during a 'Day Without a Woman' action Wednesday, according to photos taken at the scene.

Civil disobedience.

That is a limited side effect; the point is to enhance opportunity for minorities, which, to the highly debatable extent that opportunity is a zero-sum game, subtracts it from white guys -- but white guys, because white guys, have plenty of opportunity to spare to begin with. AA discriminates against them only in the entirely unobjectionable sense that a progressive income tax discriminates against rich people.

All it really is, is an effort to move our society just a little bit nearer to meeting John Rawls' veil of ignorance standard. Nothing wrong with that, is there?

How many men here have had to worry about getting or keeping a job due to pregnancy?

And don't bring up the bullshit that's called FMLA.

Well, it's less embarrassing than posting a reaction to a video I clearly didn't bother clicking on, but GREAT contribution nonetheless

Well, not everyone is interested in the finer points of life as seen by a 9 year old. As for equality, women have it. They can freely do the things that they are suited for; as can I.

I don't need anyone's support. I earn my own damn way. :)

Let's see, pregnant women have been known throughout the ages as being able to ride a horse up until they day they deliver the baby. Then, they get back on the horse the next day.

I guess women today aren't as tough as their ancestresses.

Neither are men. Because we don't need to be. That's called progress.

That may be true in some cases but it was not the norm by any means. Women were often bed ridden much longer than they are today.

Right. But back then they did not have to worry about keeping their job to maintain their health insurance for their children and family.

Your false equivalencies are amusing.
