How You Can Support Women Today

Every female is crazy, frustrated, and angry. Its their nature, like dogs chase trucks.

I didn't know that. Beautiful words, thank you. I think she really understood people from her heart.

And she was strangely unpopular, or at least controversial. Always out of the house going places and doing things. Ladies didn't act like that.

And then there was her anti-racism, that pissed off a lot of people.

In the UK we have a woman as Head of State, a woman as Prime Minister, women as Leaders of the Scottish and Northern Ireland Parliament/Assembly (NI temporarily in abeyance). Only Wales has a man as leader.

Man, you is one pussy-whipped country!

Bullshit. What right do you have that they don't have?

Why were those rights harder for them to come by, and why is their application different?

I'm assuming you're interested in actual questions and not the bullshit you're posting.

Why isn't there an International Men's Day?
I don't feel discriminated for being a woman.
Sorry, I just don't have that "I am woman, hear me roar" mentality.

One of my aunts was a suffragist (change by legal means) before 1914. She outearned her brothers all her life and voted in the first election in which UK women were eligible to vote.

Several of the women in my wife's family tree wrote 'unenfranchised' as their occupational status on the 1911 Census return.

No, it's not....what rights do men have that women don't?

That's what I thought....;)

In the UK and US? Not much difference.

In many countries around the world? Women do NOT have the same rights.

I always felt that Women's day and Valentine's day were a bit contrived.
Forcing all those hordes of men to buy women flowers and chocolates; it was amusing tho seeing them look for a bargain or the cheapest buy while their partners saw the romantic aspect of it.

Mother's day: different story.

This morning, I volunteered at a battered women's shelter and brought them hygiene and makeup products. It's nice to be reminded that you matter and you are worth self-care.
This afternoon, I am caulking the windows on my house because my dad taught me that girls can do anything; whether it's being a housewife or a DIY'er wearing a toolbelt.

Bless you. There is so much dignity in feeling clean and able to present yourself the way you would like to. Thank you thank you thank you for doing that.

There's nothing quite like the thrill of your first drill

I'm working on recruiting materials for trips we'll be taking to HBCUs. Too many people in tech complaining about lack of diversity in the pipeline as an obstacle to diverse hiring. Fine. Time to un-fuck the pipeline.

But what do you do when they all start getting their periods at the same time?

Lol. There is. It's November 19. There's a British comedian who dedicates himself to availing the misguided idiots of Twitter with this fact every single year. It's all very amusing, for people with a clue.

But thank you for coming! Don't forget to pick up your swag bag at the gifting table on the way out.

US there isn't any. Women have all the same rights, privileges and protections under the law that guys have and then some extras!!

But protest because still not good enough.....nothing will never be good enough...the rage will continue for eternity. :D

In many countries around the world? Women do NOT have the same rights.

Yea but nobody is protesting all the abuses of women in other countries because that's racist and xenophobic.

They get to beat their women and fuck kids because diversity!!! And you had BETTER celebrate that diversity or you're a racist, fascist, xenophobic, privileged white male!!

And you wouldn't want that.....

hmmmm...

Well, I already do all the food shopping.

I already do all the cooking.

I suppose I could wash dishes. But she hates it when I do that. Apparently there is only one way to load a dishwasher.

I suppose I could do laundry....But she hates it when I do that as well. Much like the dishwasher apparently there is just one way to fold a towel and I do not know it....

Flowers? Nah. She gets those all the time and I have found they mean more when they are for no reason at all.

Maybe I will just keep supporting her, loving her, and treating her as a equal as I always do.

After all, she is a strong woman with no insecurity issues that would cause her to need something special today.
