Hehe.

Um, did you know that 'fanny' means something else in my country? Given that I'm currently in yours, though... ;)

Anyway, the lift operators are all far too busy being polite and handling your equipment for you to be patting bums... ;) Yesterday I heard someone ask one of them why he didn't have earmuffs to keep his ears warm and he said "We're not allowed to have anything in or on our ears, so we can hear the screaming if someone is in trouble..."

When in Rome . . .

Now remember, they don't wear earmuffs so you have to be weally weally quiet.
Hope you're having a jolly time.

Ok so the exploding and avalanche part does not sound too good...but otherwise beautiful!

:D Well, the idea is that they spot the potential avalanches (inverted triangle of snow, like a white V, just waiting to let go on a freeze/thaw layer, I believe), and they detonate an explosive at the top to force it to avalanche while they have the slopes clear of people. You often hear the explosions in the mountains in the winter, it's strangely comforting in a way.

Often they drop them from a helicopter, but one of the really high chairlifts here goes over a little wire arrangement marked 'Bomb Tram', which always makes me laugh. I imagine them winching the bomb along (with "BOMB" written on it, of course), like knickers on a rotating line, and then letting it drop.

Did the weather improve? Or was your Friday free for a day full of other things? ;)

Friday was better, and loads of new snow to play in, lovely. And Saturday was sunny, hurrah! It's snowed today too, didn't think I'd last very long, my legs were really tired from yesterday's exertions (on and off the slopes... ;)), but the snow conditions were so lovely we stayed out way longer than I expected.

I can hardly move now, though...

Did you have a good weekend, lovely man?

Weather does affect erotic adventures in soooo many spicy ways, does it not?

Even gradually disrobing in winter I find kind of hot.

....Has your hubby completed his mission for the Quebec-Exit? :p :D

Gradual disrobing, that's a nice phrase. Like unwrapping a gift...

I do like the different experiences in different seasons. It's going to be weird this year, just eleven weeks between the end of skiing (brrrr, cold, firelight, candles) and my first summer trip (Italy, sun, unobserved balconies, little private pool). I'm hoping to be naked a lot, which is not something I could say here, not outside anyway! There actually is a little balcony here, but oh, it's chilly out there, and it's overlooked by an awful lot of windows

Quebexit. Damn. Once there's a 'snappy' title for it, it could get traction... :( I don't think H would be in favour, though... Met a couple of Québécois gents on a chairlift yesterday, very friendly and interesting chaps :)

Quiet. Hmmm. I'm weally not good at quiet, if you catch me right...

Now in Rome, I ate ice cream and fantasised about gladiators. Here, I'm thinking perhaps a strapping Mountie?

 I was home almost all day yesterday. It was very needful. :)

That sounds lovely. It's really important to have some time to recharge our internal batteries, I think. Physical and mental, I'd say. It's much easier to deal with what life throws at you when your LED is on green.

I think it's interesting that for some people (me included), doing nothing very much is very restorative. I'm really good at doing nothing. Especially with a book to hand, say. But others find that massively stressful, and have to be doing something, maybe something physically hard, to get that restoration. And I do get that too - a good long bike ride, say, can be great for clearing the head and rebooting the body. :)

Sounds like you are in need of a massage ;):rose:

Had an okay weekend. :cool::)

Anyone you mount becomes a mountie. ; )

Remember they are the mounted Police. They need them for riding.;)

I was going to post that when I rode horses a lot in my younger days, my jodhpurs definitely didn't have those sticky out bits, they were tight as you like, beautiful cream, thigh-hugging things. Phwoar, eh? No weird baggy lobes on the sides at all.

That's definitely what I was going to post. Right up until I read the bit about 'riding'. And then I got very distracted indeed...

They're still coming off though. For the *coughs* 'riding'...
