I suppose many of you are aware of the stink the press and the democrats are trying to gin up regarding the SEAL operation in Yemen this past Jan. 29th.

Dad and investigation demand.

While the father is lashing out in anger, his anger is misplaced. But I do agree that an investigation has to be done, in depth, and by the FBI.

The gathering of intelligence behind the operation began last summer. As more and more evidence mounted the idea of a raid to scoop up as much hard intelligence as possible started taking place. A commitment was made and training began. The operation was originally planned for early Jan. but the team leader requested a postponement until the New Moon (Jan 27th) so as to be able to take full advantage of their night vision equipment. While this decision worked to the benefit of the team on the ground it increased the risk associated with flight operations.

Almost immediately upon advancing on their objective the team started taking fire from two sides. They had moved into what is called a 'kill sack.' The jihadists KNEW they were coming and had set up an ambush. The reason the women and children were there is for use as human shields and propaganda value. Obviously the propaganda worked.

That begs the question, "How in the hell did the jihadists know the operators were coming?"

Flash forward about 10 days. I'm watching an interview that Charlie Rose was doing on the subject with a former State Dept. dweeb. The dweeb, with all seriousness and what came across as a certain amount of pride, explained the procedures associated with these sort of operations. DoD notifies State, State palavers with various interested 'allies' and then gets back to DoD with clearances. When DoD sets the date, State is once again notified and the other 'interested parties' are given the 'heads up.' First of all this is a procedure than only a group of lawyers who will never have their asses on the line could dream up. Secondly why not take out a full page ad in the New York Times? There is no way operational security can be contained with so many people in the operational decision loop.

The Special Operations community are convinced that the leak came from State, and they are most likely right. The reason that an investigation is called for is to determine whether the leak was some dweeb with a big mouth or malicious intent, or as a direct result of the procedures put in place.

Regardless, Trump didn't have a damn thing to do with the procedures and he and his new Sec. State were probably unaware of those procedures put in place by the prior administration. It can be argued that he shouldn't have signed the op order until he did know those details. But it could take up to a year before all of the new cabinet members manage to burrow down to that level of detail effectively prohibiting any action on any intelligence. Which sets the administration up for the accusation, "Well if you knew about it, why didn't you do anything about it?" if some attack was carried out against the US or our allies. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Sooo... Benghazi?

And Mogadishu too!!

It's ok when (D)'s get Joe's killed. They are there to serve their political image.

It's only bad when (R)'s get Joe's killed, kill their own people or bomb the shit out of brown folks.

Totally cool if a (D) is doing it. :)

they

wanted to

have it stain

Trump

so Obama peeps LEAKED IT

Most likely way too many people were privy to the plan, way too many. This planning sphere needs to be tightened. If there is a leak the death penalty shouldn't just fall on our operators but on the leaker as well.

on a different note

a former CuntClinton staffer attacked the WIDOW last night on TWITTER

as DUMZ always do

HE WAS FIRED TODAY:D

blah blah blah bureaucracy blah blah blah lawyers blah blah blah leaks blah blah blahhe shouldn't have signed the op order until he did know those details. blah blah blah rationalization blah blah blah excuses.

Ishmael

Trump wanted the optics. He gave the okay without being briefed. He wanted the glory. The mission was a clusterfuck, so he blamed some nebulous generals.

And of course Ishmael pops up after the firing is over and serves up a steaming heap of rationalization for Trump's Ready Fire Aim approach.

A) The phrase is raises the question

B) This isn't the first time a raid has been compromised from the start yet now we're supposed to believe an investigation is in order because it happened on the con artist's watch?

I guess those drones flying lower than normal over the area had nothing to do with people figuring something was up.

http://news.antiwar.com/2017/02/01/us-raid-destroyed-most-of-yemen-village-fm-blasts-extrajudicial-killing/

Locals knew long before the troops got there, however, saying there were more US surveillance drones than usual and they were flying lower than would be normal long before the attack.

Don't forget there were also UAE commandos with the raiding party. Obviously there is no way anything would have leaked from them or their superiors.

And yes, if they knew the security had been compromised why did they go in anyway? If the whole point is to get in unnoticed, make your attack and gather intelligence before resistance can be organized, they failed miserably.

Didn't Trump tell us he knows more than the Generals? Both he and Ishmael know things.

1. it is indeed nothing to do with the Trump team. it simply happened just when he took over.

2. It happened though at a time when the Dems were going nuts, and they still are. Making trump look bad while they prepared for downtown riots etc. is not passed them. Hell they even called for an impeachment of sorts.

3. The father is exaggerating not wanting to meet Trump. But, does he have a point? Is this really confirmed its a work in progress from last year? Then why the dad is being an ass?

4. And why on earth were these Army people in Congress last night glued to their seats, un-intereasted? that was not answered.

[ziiiiiiiip]

Never mind the politics, lead me to this dead seal . . . it's well-preserved, right?

Trump ordered the raid. What, you think it was in the works in December?!

No, he believes the CIA framed Trump to make him look bad. Just like Flynn and Trump have been framed about the Russians. The intelligence community is out to make Trump look bad. Because surely Trump can't just be that big of a fuck up despite what have seen in his past business endeavors, his marriages, and his Twitter account.

I seem to recall a certain (D) President Johnson who caught some flack over a little skirmish in a little place called Vietnam. Or was that just "fake news?" Get a clue, you chain-smoking, amphibious little twerp.

Because he wanted to. Same reason he does everything.

LOL. That doesn't make any sense. Surely, you're not THAT stupid. Plz....... cmon, some common sense.

intel and preparations etc. need time. You don't do a raid within 5 days in office. I think you're snapping wires OreoKing.

You do if you're as stupid and arrogant as Trump is.
