Perfect Scenes Dropped In Your Lap

I just awoke from a dream.

My sleep is packed with dreams that are rarely even interesting. Almost any job seminar about inane topics is what I dream of.

But I just awoke from one that drove me to the computer to record. Its close to perfect. Andit isn't new under the sun, a close cousin is in a major novel and academy award winning film. But mine is better.

I don't know. All my dreams are like spending the day with book-keepers or at a call center for root canal appointments. Last nights dream was a revelation certain to startle and stun readers. It should be a moment of truth that changes everything.

PILETTE and TAX RAT will steal it. But its no big secret. Just imagine a scene where all the players are suddenly exposed for who they ar, and all are ruined.

Heres an example of what I mean: 25 years ago a woman I knew all my life came to my emergency room. She wanted to kill herself because her husband, my oldest friend, said he wanted a divorce. Next she revealed he had lured her into kinky sex with threats to leave her if she refused. He didn't put a gun to her head, but I've seen viseos of the fun and it was kinky enough to go to jail most places. I put her in the hospital. When she got out she killed herself. I haven't seen the husband in all those years. He married the other woman involved in the kinky sex (it wasn't lesbian). I know. He knows I know. And the new wife knows I know. I don't care what they do but I knew the families and mutual friends. I don't kiss and tell but I could ruin him if I did. And they had daughters who have never come to me to ask WHAT HAOPPENED.

So my scene is the same class of drama.

I say win win.

The thing is that there's several situations or scenes in my posted stories, and several more in stories I'm working on that came from dreams. It's a good resource.

If I eat too much at supper, especially if it's spicy food, I tend to have very vivid dreams. Usually when I wake from them it's in the middle of the night and I am too lazy to get up and write anything down. Sometimes though I'll lay there awake and go over what I can remember again and again, adding and developing a situation, and fix it in my mind, so the next day I can recall parts of it.

It works best if it's time to get up when I wake from a dream and can remember and keep it in mind as I go through my morning routine. My wife told me I should keep a pad and pen next to the bed.
