I've read that Brits drink something called ginger beer. Is that another name for ginger ale, or is it a different beverage?

never had ginger beer, but i knew it was different than the ale because i'm a genius. also, i have the internet and i looked it up years ago. still, that's kinda smart, right?

also, i'm in michigan, so fuck canada dry. on the rare occasion i drink ginger ale i drink vernors.

Making your own is worth the effort. There is no comparison to store bought. I like the "ginger burn" in the back of my throat and store bought just doesn't have that.

not my bag. when i stick things up my butt i want it to feel good not burn like hellfire.

Reed's has a good bite, and Reed's Extra will yank your tongue from your throat.

if you like horses don't look up gingering. basically, people are fucking dicks to animals for really stupid reasons.

I like Old Tyme ginger beer. Mr. Gouda's is undrinkable. Mr. Gouda's was the first ginger beer introduced to Canada. Not sure but I would bet it is close to taste of 'real' ginger beer.

You can manufacture ginger beer much like common pop fizzy drinks or you can brew it.

Old Tyme is good stuff though. Has that Vernors tang.

If you want a store bought that burns, get Cock'n'Bull. I see it at lots of grocery stores around here. I bought it once and couldn't finish the bottle because it burned so much.

Those Gin-Gin candies are delicious!

Ginger Beer ,Cockney rhyming slang for queer ,usually shortened to Ginger, as in he's a bit ginger .

Fever Tree makes a good ginger beer, as well as great old style tonic water.

Fentiman's do a lovely fiery ginger beer. The fieryer the better for me! Good for nausea too.

Oh, ginger beer has been on a roll ever since the dudebros all started drinking Moscow Mules a few years back. I think that trend has peaked, which makes sense because real men drink whiskey.

well, we can no narrow down where frodo lives because i'd never heard of a soda tax so i had to fucking google it. not many places actually have that.

Thought it was an American thing. Like root beer. I can buy it at the grocery store on the US import shelves.

First ginger beer I had was back in England, many years ago. The best ginger beer around here is Bundaberg, imported from down under. The domestic ginger beers all pretty much suck.

One of my uncles used to brew his own Ginger Beer (as well as his own beer and lager). Unlike store-bought varieties his was alcoholic, as are most home made Ginger Beers. It was about 9% so stronger than many lagers.

Yet the children of his family and children of his relations used to drink it. The rule was no more than a tea cup full on any one day.

Fentiman's is the closest to the taste but it doesn't have the alcohol content.
