"Pope Francis has said it is better to be an atheist than one of the “many” Catholics who live a “scandalous” hypocritical life."

While I agree with his pov about the double standards of some christians particularly catholics,
I can't help but notice his idealistic and congratulatory attitude towards Islam.

This is odd: the mainstream massmedia has been flooded by attacks on Christianity and Jewish religious people (that they're mysogynists, homophobes and so on) while they've been idealizing and excusing similar or even worse practices on the part of Islam.

Is this part of the globalist agenda? Of homogenising western masses by dismantling religious and other communitarian and philosophical institutions, Islam being just a pawn in this?

How many refugees does the Vatican have?
This what he is preaching, how Christian it is to take in refugees - aimed in particular at this time, at the US.

When the last hypocritical Catholic splits, don't forget to turn off the lights. :)

His comments have been taken out of context.

Anyways, if you take what he said about "hypocritical Catholics" and combine that with his comments of welcoming refugees... I agree. Governments shouldn't take in refugees because they are "exploiting" these people and their citizens. The Christian Churches should take them. But I guess that's what happens when government takes on the role of charity- too late to put that back in the box I guess.

Also, the media mischaracterized the abortion thing. The Pope amended Cannon Law to allow Priests to forgive abortion easier, they don't have to jump through all the Cannon Law hoops anymore. Catholicism still considers abortion a sin.

Now, what he said about Trump's wall is a little grey. When people pointed out that the Vatican has walls The Pope said something like, "but we have a big door". Yeah, that's true but normal people can't just go in the Vatican whenever they want. There are rules, there are set times when the door is open to the public, and you can't just tour the place freely, there are only certain areas people are allowed to go.

It is like the Mexican foreign minister threatening to take us to the UN for enforcing our border. Nevermind that their control of their southern border is much more highly enforced then we are even proposing.

It is nothing like that.
