They are my opinions, so there!

In my opinion, people can live without cable TV as long as they have an internet connection. I pay less for internet than a so-called "bundle package" that I neither need or want. Yes, you get 300 channels. You probably only watch a dozen or so of them. Plus commercials. Even DVR isn't enough to entice me back. Fuck cable TV.

So there!

I look forward to the day my contract is up and I can cut the cable umbilical cord. I watch everything using my Amazon Fire TV and other unsavory means. I validate your opinion.

I thought I would start giving opinions? Why? I don't know. Take it or leave it. Join in if you want.

First topic: Jelly in sqeezable bottles.

It's a good idea to put ketchup and barbaque sauce in a sqeezabe bottle because when you tip them upside down they eventually run to the opening. Jelly not so much. It works well for awhile but then you get a separation and jelly stays where it can't be squeezed out.

Do you mean the thick very dark ones? I LOVE these. I have never tried to make them though. When I try to describe them to people in uk who never had them I say like fruit marmite or vegemite. They are so intense and incredible.

I also like jelly, jam, and preserves and fruit cheeses ( like membrillo) I love making them all and making beautiful combinations. It's maybe my favourite kitchen thing

Ever made mozzarella at home? I haven't but the process of making it is fascinating.

JUST my opinion...

jelly is for children. grownups should eat jam, preserves or fruit spreads.

I concur. A good Scottish thick-cut marmalade on MY toast, please!

Ye can'nae squeeze THAT outta some shite plastic thing!:devil:

Meh, I never got involved in political threads. It became one of my husband's boundaries for my lit usage.

But you know, real honey, proper milk; this stuff gets me hot!

I'm all about proper whole foods. The processed shit will be the death of us all. I do cheat though so I'm a bit of a hypocrite. There are days I just can't be bothered so I grab some fast food.

There's a place in my state that I buy my honey from. I usually get buckwheat honey but they offer other varieties and I have more than I know what to do with at the moment. Been thinking about making some mead.

In my opinion, Daylight Savings Time sucks. It needs to go away.

So there!

Yeah, what's up with that? It's all bassackwards -- in winter the days are shorter and the clock's an hour earlier, so when you get off work it's already dark!

I do agree. I also think though that it's ok to cheat occasionally : we feed the mind too after all and a state of feeling deprived of slavish is no good.

I just cannot like mead:(. I have tried. I will cook with it and i want to like it.

I love real cooking. I love the whole process of it, and seasonal eating. It's so mild I sowed our first saladings today whether I get them before I have s holiday is s little doubtful but who ever is here will, and when I am back tender things will go out.

baking with honey instead of sugar is really rewarding, the flavours can be superb,

One of my favorite words is cookery. I don't consider myself a chef but I don't burn water either.

The last couple weekends I've made marinated chicken hearts. :evil grin: I've been making an effort to eat organ meats. Heart and liver is about my limit though. I can't really talk about it with anyone because they all think it's gross. I don't do seasonal cooking even though I should. My reasoning is that our ancestors ate seasonally because they didn't really have a choice. Now we can get exotic fruits and veggies from clear across the globe and just about everything is available year 'round. So why not?

I'm trying to cut back on my refined sugar but I still use it in my coffee and feed it to my water kefir. By the time it's done with it the beverage isn't very sweet. Don't ask me why I don't sweeten with honey. I guess I'm trying to use up the last of my creamer.

.

I was at a fetish event last night where one of the Doms was beating her sub with rubber chickens. Later she explained that when she takes the chickens and beats them against his back in a criss cross motion it's called chicken florentine. In my opinion, it is great to have your own kink - it is even greater to have a sense of humor about it.

And I am now unsure how I feel about chicken.

Sounds like a Munch on Steroids... :D
