Does anyone know of another administration that had a scandal in 23 days?

Let alone one that resulted in the resignation of a senior cabinet member?

Inquiring minds want to know. :D

He's been in the job less than 1% of the time that his predecessor held office.

We can be sure if there was it wouldn't have been a Democrat Administration as Democrats rarely resign when dishonored.

There was Clinton's nomination of Zoe Baird, though that "scandal" seems pretty quaint now that we have (male) Cabinet nominees who did the exact same thing and are currently being confirmed.

The other one that comes to mind, though it didn't involve an illegality, is Ford's pardon of Nixon. Not sure about the time frame there, but I think it was about a month into his presidency.

The only thing we can be sure of is deflection and another strawman argument from the RWSFB (right wing snowflake brigade)

Lincoln launched a civil war that killed 800,00 people. Actually it was Democrats who fired on Fort Sumter.

Snowflakes, safe spaces, wet beds, and play dough, are all owned by the left. Sorry.

The election.

Jackson had the most votes and no one had enough electoral votes. So the House and Senate fucked Jackson. The voters tossed Adams out in 1828.

I don't see how that was a scandal as he didn't win the electoral college by enough votes and the House followed the constitution in nominating him.

The French, the Greeks, the Italians, the Spanish and the Brits - all have started administrations with scandals.

But who cared?

Prime Minister Lloyd George was fucking many women but the media didn't report it.

A French President died while fucking his mistress - but that's the French way.

From Wikipedia:

[French President] Faure died suddenly from apoplexy in the Élysée Palace on 16 February 1899, while engaged in sexual activities in his office with 30-year-old Marguerite Steinheil. It has been widely reported that Felix Faure had his fatal seizure while Steinheil was fellating him, but the exact nature of their sexual intercourse is unknown and such reports may have stemmed from various jeux de mots (puns) made up afterward by his political opponents. One such pun was to nickname Mme Steinheil "la pompe funèbre" (wordplay in French: "pompes funèbres" means "death care business" and "pompe funèbre" could be translated, literally, as "funeral pump"). George Clemenceau's epitaph of Faure, in the same trend, was "Il voulait être César, il ne fut que Pompée" (another wordplay in French; could mean both "he wished to be Caesar, but ended up as Pompey", or "he wished to be Caesar and ended up being blown": the verb "pomper" in French is also slang for performing oral sex on a man); Clemenceau, who was also editor of the newspaper L'Aurore, wrote that "upon entering the void, he [Faure] must have felt at home". After his death, some alleged extracts from his private journals, dealing with French policy, were published in the Paris press.

The Australians lost a Prime Minister swimming - and never found him.

The disappearance – 17 December 1967

[Australian Prime Minister] Harold Holt disappeared while swimming at Cheviot Beach near Portsea, Victoria on 17 December, 1967. His body was never recovered. Without determining the cause of Holt's death, a joint report by Commonwealth and Victoria Police, submitted in January 1968, concluded that, '… there has been no indication that the disappearance of the late Mr Holt was anything other than accidental'. The report (see copy on file A1209, 1968/8063) found that his last movements followed a routine domestic pattern, his demeanour had been normal and despite his knowledge of the beach, the turbulent conditions (high winds, rough seas and rip tides) overcame him. The explanations put forward for a failure to find the body included an attack by marine life, the body being carried out to sea by tides or becoming wedged in rock crevices.

While a variety of theories have been expounded about Holt's disappearance, the Commonwealth Government did not deem a formal inquiry necessary, accepting the conclusions of the Police report.

This is the US government we are talking about. Surely there must have been quite a few. Dig folks, dig!

Same thing in 2016, and you cried for a week. But plenty of folks thought 1824 was a scandal, and Adams wasn't re-elected.

No, I certainly didn't. Trump won the electoral college according to our election laws.

This scandal also isn't going away, especially after their news conference today.

The Snowflake in Chief is going to have a bad week.

The wheels are really coming off the bus now.

New investigation announced of Trump's handling of classified information at Mar-a-lago.

Investigation most likely to be announced on Kellyanne Conway.

Republicans are now calling for an investigation into Trump around Russian influence.

Bwahahahahaha! :D
