How do you know he's in violation of that clause? It's never been adjudicated or reviewed by the SCOTUS in US history. There is no federal law that prevents Trump from running his businesses from the White House or engaging in business activity while in office except for appearances.

It's a great time to be a congressman. You're either powerless and wringing your hands and planning for 2020, or effectively invisible and getting every Christmas present you ever wanted. The only exception to date is McCain and I expect that's in preparation for 2020.

True as far as returning the country to the Dark Ages. I was referring to their response to Trump's out-of-control behavior. I should have been clearer about that I think.
