Story here. This is apparently because of JKR's Twitter feud with the Trumpers, but the religious right has been down on Harry Potter for years, and I've never understood why. Every elementary school library in America is full of stories about wizards and witches and dragons and elves and sneetches and grinches and angels and devils and countless other things that never existed. What makes Harry Potter any different?

I've not read any of the Potter books nor seen any of the movies nor am I a Trump supporter. Sometimes I call the colonel from M.A.S.H Harry Potter when it's actually Harry Morgan and Sherman Potter. Though I can't stand Alan Alda. What a putz.

Schools and libraries have had to fight to keep those books in place. People call all sorts of odd books and things evil. When I was in school, there were people that wanted to ban Hardy Boy books. Those books, if you don't know, were about two teenage boys solving crimes. There was no magic or witches or anything like that, but people wanted to ban the books because, in one book, it talked about forgery. The purple dinosaur that danced and sang to little kids and taught them to be nice to each other was claimed to be the devil personified. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn were on the ban list. Some people have nothing better to do than try to create a fuss over nothing.
And why is that ever objectionable?
Whyever not? Of course he's a putz, but that's no good reason not to stand him.

burning books - hasn't that all been done sooooo many times before? only good reason to burn a stack of books is to keep warm when there's nothing else left to burn and you'll end up a frigidbody if you didn't. yes, i've watched the day after tomorrow. if it was a case of only one or two books, you may as well die happy reading them
