Chicagoland is a very laid back area, in my experience. WAAAY less "judgey" than the PennJersey area, where I went to high school, and suffered a lot of dumbarsed comments from dickweeds who knew FUCK ALL about stuff not in their backyard.
I love Chicago. Hell, my kid's a Black Hawks fan!

Hockey helmets work better. Hard shelled. Crash type helmets work by deforming themselves not your head. The kind who have a tendency to bang their heads on walls wear hockey helmets up here. Cheap ones from Walmart.
