As to the OP, I actually feel sorry for Melania. Just my personal opinion, it appears she does not really want the role of first lady and there is nothing wrong with that. It would not shock me if her husband didn't exactly consult her when making the determination to first run for President and then accept the GOP nomination. As you stated, he is on his third wife and with his "my way or the highway" attitude, I can't imagine she was given much of a choice.
I know she and her family have taken a lot of flack for staying behind to finish their son's school this year, but I admire her for putting her son first (and maybe even herself) - it cannot be easy being his third wife, portrayed as a constant joke, and have to stand by someone who likely treats you more like an object than an equal.
And yes, I am sure one could argue she married him for his money - that's not my concern. I joke sometimes I'd marry someone for health insurance and a chance to stay home and read books all the time.
