Juvenile behaviours committed by Trump, and his Whitehouse Rethuglicans.

The fact that Conway would invent a story to justify the administration’s policy is not surprising. This is, after all, the woman who coined the term “alternative facts”. But the sheer audacity of inventing an entire terrorist attack to gaslight the country into supporting a nefarious and counterproductive ‘“Muslim ban” is beyond the pale.

Kellyanne Conway's version of a mea culpa:

Tell a tall tale about what she meant to say.
Link to a four-year-old story which—if you actually read it—says only that the FBI is conducting "dozens of current counter-terrorism investigations."

Mount a grievance against a reporter who quoted her correctly on the Today show.

Compliment herself for her class and grace because she chooses not to bring down her slavering hordes on an editor who did nothing wrong.

Pretend that the White House didn't spend days upon endless days moaning and bellyaching about the MLK Jr. bust story—a story that was corrected in less than half an hour.

Mission accomplished! Millions of people have now heard about the Bowling Green massacre. Conway has, technically, admitted she was wrong, so the media won't bother following up and virtually no one will hear that no such massacre took place. You'd think that would be victory enough, but just for good measure she then attacked a reporter and told the world what a wonderful, gracious person she is. What a pro.

John Dickerson got Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway to issue two stunning tacit admissions that her candidate is a liar, and then Dickerson remarkably sort of apologized for it.

Friday morning, Donald Trump ended his years-long crusade to smear President Obama by lying about Hillary Clinton, lying about his own actions, and finally stating the obvious fact that everyone else already knew: that Barack Obama was born in the United States. When Dickerson confronted Conway with the lie that Trump’s campaign put out and Trump repeated, that Trump had put an end to the controversy in 2011, she didn’t challenge that the lie was a lie, and when Dickerson followed up by asking Conway why Trump promoted a lie for five years, Conway similarly accepted that characterization as truth (emphasis mine):

Conway was so rattled that she identified the 17 Medal of Honor winners who attended the event as “14 gold medal recipients,” while also appearing to invent the word “freespectfully.” Trump still hasn’t had to answer for the lies he told about sending investigators to Hawaii, and given that Dickerson was almost apologetic for even having asked about the controversy, it’s unlikely he ever will.

Every alt right media outlet is clamoring to be given the same opportunity as legitimate news journalsts, at Whitehouse press conferences.

A professional alt right troll from the UK trolled the news media by claiming that he was invited to attend a press briefing at the Whitehouse.

Well, the funny thing about this, as the NYTimes pointed out, is that she linked to an article from ABC News while she said in her original lie, "No one heard about it because it wasn't reported on!"

Er, you just gave a link to where it was reported on.

Also, the Bowling Green lie wasn't as important as her LYING that Obama "also" had a ban on Muslims. Lie. He did not.

She was really caught out on this one, and if Trump was smart (Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha) he would just stop sending her in front of the cameras. She really is becoming a national joke.
