So the UN created an "indefensible Israel but not an "indefensible" Palestine? Wow, great logic. Shall we also deny Ben Gurions own written words when he says Palestinians must be expelled from the land so Jews can settle on it? Where did you get your figure about the US? I think you considerably underestimate what the US accepted the past two years, but I don't have the figures handy.

Nevertheless, Germany certainly has given at least temporary refuge to many more than the US has (Merkel says not all those in Germany will be allowed to stay, even though I think she is being deceptive on the matter).

But that is no argument why the USA should follow Germany's lead. Just because they seem hell-bent on national suicide is no reason for the US to follow suit. Germany is a far different country than it was a mere five years ago, and none of the changes are for the better unless your taste inclines toward rape and anti-Semitism. Simply astonishing to me that European nations are sacrificing public safety to appease a bunch of savages.
