RIP Mary Yyler Moore

What a relief! It was just Mary Tyler Moore that passed. I thought it was Mary Yyler Moore. That would have been a tragedy.

Sorry. I couldn't resist when I saw the typo in the title.

She had a great life considering her health issues. The earth is a better place because of her.

Here we go again:-
We're sorry, this video cannot be played from your current location.

Didn't she also have something to do with a TV station or something ?

She sure had us all laughing
~
RIP

I fell in love with her as a teenager. She was so sexy in the Dick Van Dyke Show. And another sex symbol in the Mary Tyler Moore Show, where she played a secretary to Al Asner at a local TV station. She will be missed.

She was an assistant somethingorother, not a secretary, which was part of a running joke on the program--she was breaking through an era where a woman had to be a secretary, not an assistant anything.

Who cared about that stuff...I was young and in love.

At the time that was as high-financially risky for the producers as Ellen Degeneres's character coming out gay or the Archie Bunker character in their times.

I remember watching reruns in my early teens and picturing her and Rhoda hooking up.

Guess I was destined to write smut from early on.

RiP Mary

I used to watch MTM and it was one of my favorite of all time. It was followed by Bob Newhart, which was good for a laugh, but was just another sitcom. Years later, I saw them in rerun, and Mary seemed dated, for some reason, and not really very much fun. BN, on the other hand, was quite funny.
