Jesus may have been slightly touched in the head. Certainly had some idealistic thoughts but not a mad man or liar. Jesus also spoke in parables. Not to be taken too literally. But then die-hard Bible thumpers are well known for taking stuff too literally.

We look at some people as if they were special, gifted, divine. Nobody is special and gifted and divine. No more than you are, no more than I am. The only difference, the very only one, is that they have begun to understand what they really are and have begun to practice it.

Extraterrestrial Life?

No verified form of life, which originated outside of earth has ever been observed. If life evolved on earth, one would expect that the elaborate experiments sent to the Moon and Mars might have detected at least simple forms of life (such as microbes) that differ in some respects from life on earth (a). Mars Lander

Many people, including Carl Sagan, predicted the Viking Landers would find life on Mars. They reasoned that because life evolved on Earth, some form of life must have evolved on Mars. That prediction proved to be false. The arms of the Viking 1 Lander sampled Martian soil. Sophisticated tests on those samples did not find even a trace of life.

a. The widely publicized claims, made by NASA in 1996, to have found fossilized life in a meteorite from Mars are now largely dismissed. [See Richard A. Kerr, “Requiem for Life on Mars? Support for Microbes Fades,” Science, Vol. 282, 20 November 1998, pp. 1398–1400.]

Evidence of nothing.

Creationists are on par with flat earthers and racists. Zero basis in fact. Pure fantasy to fit a personal agenda.

Ok, I am not a flat earther or racist. What is my personal agenda? Enlighten me.

You're attempting to make the universe fit into your personal philosophy/religious thinking. Creationism has zero scientific basis. It is all based on a literal translation of the Old Testament. Which while an excellent ancient history source for the Israelites is not a scientific publication.

The world is billions of years old not thousands. Dinosaurs and men did not share the planet at some time. And dinosaurs actually existed. They are not Satanic tricks to throw doubt on creation being and act of God as depicted in the bible.

Biblical creationism has as much basis in fact as Norse pagan myths.

The Origin of the Cosmos

Before there was soil, or sky, or any green thing, there was only the gaping abyss of Ginnungagap. This chaos of perfect silence and darkness lay between the homeland of elemental fire, Muspelheim, and the homeland of elemental ice, Niflheim.

Frost from Niflheim and billowing flames from Muspelheim crept toward each other until they met in Ginnungagap. Amid the hissing and sputtering, the fire melted the ice, and the drops formed themselves into Ymir, the first of the godlike giants. Ymir was a hermaphrodite and could reproduce asexually; when he sweated, more giants were born.

As the frost continued to melt, a cow, Audhumbla, emerged from it. She nourished Ymir with her milk, and she, in turn, was nourished by salt-licks in the ice. Her licks slowly uncovered Buri, the first of the Aesir tribe of gods. Buri had a son named Bor, who married Bestla, the daughter of the giant Bolthorn. The half-god, half-giant children of Bor and Bestla were Odin, who became the chief of the Aesir gods, and his two brothers, Vili and Ve.

Odin and his brothers slew Ymir and set about constructing the world from his corpse. They fashioned the oceans from his blood, the soil from his skin and muscles, vegetation from his hair, clouds from his brains, and the sky from his skull. Four dwarves, corresponding to the four cardinal points, held Ymir’s skull aloft above the earth.

I like the dominating pussy theory better. ;) If science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment, then we will never know for certain the origins of the earth. No one was there. No one witnessed it.

As a nurse, I look at the intricate systems that are the human body and for me it takes less faith to believe that a higher power created it than it takes for me to believe that there was a bang and it came into being.

I don't hate science. Maybe we are not that far apart. It could be that God said "Bang" and it happened.

I'm probably labelling creationists as those who believe the world to be a few thousand years old. Just believing in God as 'first cause' for the creation of the Universe doesn't qualify as creationist IMO. Even if Wiki says creationists are believers in an intelligent force behind the big bang.

Probably have a date with cardiac surgeon for risky heart procedure. Still not taking Jesus into my heart.

May Odin's wisdom be with the surgeons.
And may Thor protect me.
