Remember how he essentially told them they didn't know what they were doing and were liars? That the two page summary of the blackmail videos Russia has on him were nothing but fakes? He's the one who didn't give them support when the report indicated there are probably blackmail videos of him in Russia. He's the one who didn't give them support about Russian efforts to hack/alter the election or provide him support. He even threatened to change the way the CIA operates.

The statements make perfect sense unless you're trying to defend the co artist.
