Permissable underage activities

I've just had a story rejected because the boy admitted he had sex with a girl when he was 16. This was only alluded to (with no particulars) and was only part of the prelude to the story.

I'm curious as to what other underage activities of a sexual nature are not allowed. Masturbation, kissing, watching sex videos, using sexual toys like anal plugs, etc.? Thanks for any info.

Nothing at all.
Kids don't do sex, they don't know about sex, they don't know what the other gender is for, and have absolutely no desire to explore it. They are completely asexual. Let alone acts - even thoughs of sex is far beyond them.

Kids can only play with the ball somewhere in the background. They are hardly even allowed a cameo in a story - if there are children - then they either always stay in the background or are just mentioned. Any dialogue with a child, or any more or less important role for him/her - is not allowed in an erotic story.

They are not permitted in a cannon shot distance of any character who might have sex in the next week, or think about sex, or masturbate, or whatever.

Now, as soon as they turn 18, a divine insight is bestowed on the kids by the heaven, which converts them into a horny looking-for-sex barely-legal adults. Before that - no, they just simply dissolve as soon as there is anything sexual mentioned, because Kids and sex can not coexist in the universe.

That said, an adult may mention his/her childhood as a character building. You can even mention the age the virginity was lost. But in a very brief way and with no details whatsoever.

Why? Because. No use arguing with that. Just accept it or post your story someplace else.

Nicely put.

As you describe it, I think that would fit within guidelines. Maybe having it in the prelude made it stand out too much for the editor, or maybe she sees more detail there than you describe.

I thought you had been around here long enough to already know the answer to this. You cannot describe sexual activity of any kind by an under-18 character.

While maybe I've been around here long enough, I haven't faced this problem before, nor have I made any use of these forums until recently.

I've revised the story removing the references to underage sexual activity. But the father does explain the birds and the bees to the boy when he's 12 - a rather common occurrence. The story shouldn't be rejected for that reason, but if it is, that's that and I won't try to re-submit it again.

Unfortunately, that's not acceptable too.

Again, children are asexual and live in an asexual world. No one here cares about what happens in reality. Definitely not Laurel.
There are rules, you should follow.

Children do not know about sex. Period. They never think about sex while they are children. It doesn't matter if your scene is a flashback or not - if it has any detail, then you miss.

Correct. I had no idea what the word sex meant or any desire to find out. But the day I turned 18 I lost my virginity. That's the way it is in real life.

I don't believe these so-called 'rules' have ever been explicitly stated by Laurel - if they have would you please point them out to me.

I just read a story on here (A Life Ruined, Ch.1) where an underage boy ogles the ladies tits and then he goes on to say as he washes a woman's hair:
"What follows was the most sensual experience of my young life. From the moment, she undid her hair and I lowered those silky locks into the sink, to the very last seconds of the rinse, I was in heaven. A heaven I didn't know existed.

At one point she gave a low moan while I'm shampooing her hair, which told me she was in the same place."

It almost sounds like this woman is almost having an orgasm. That's certainly sexual to me. And also clearly, this underage boy is no child.

This is from a link on Welcome Authors. Please Read.

3. No sexual activity involving bestiality (you can write stories about supernatural beasts like ghosts, unicorns, werewolves, etc.) or underage persons will be considered. For the purposes of this site, the minimum legal age is 18. This site does not publish stories, articles, essays, or other material supporting, encouraging, or defending child abuse and/or exploitation.

If you find a story that breaks those rules you should report it. Just because one is here doesn't mean it should be.

Added...

Some of us get irritated because this topic is raised several times a month on the Authors' Hangout and other Lit forums.

Literotica and other US-based sites are possibly going to have to be more careful after Friday's inauguration. Some of the things said during the Presidential campaign indicated that erotica/porn may be more regulated.

Today I have deleted more than 200 stories (none of which have under-18 characters) from a Yahoo Adult Group which is closing NOW because of worries about what might happen after Friday.

Stories get overlooked all the time. You should understand that it's not possible for moderators of the site to carefully look through every submitted story.

What you describe is just that. It was overlooked while chacking the story, but it would have been refused if it came to Laurel's attention.

No, seriously, you can argue all you want. I'm just telling you how it is. It doesn't even matter if you can find these "rules" anywhere, if it was explicitly stated or not. It's just how things work around here.

Hell, even if you set up your story in the last year of high school, and do not state the ages explicitly - it can be rejected. Just because the setting suggests they might be underage.

You can also not have a 200 year old vampire who looks like a child or non-legal teenager. And you can't have a 15 year old girl who belongs to the race that fully matures in 10 years - even if she looks fully mature, the mention of her real age in earth years is enough to be rejected. These two aspects are in direct contradiction, and yet they are enforced.

Do not try to understand this. Just avoid kids alltogether.

And why do you even NEED to write about childhood so badly? What's the value of this scene? Can't a father have another kind of talk with his kid, the one that does not involve sex?
If sex theme is crucial in this scene, then there you have it. You sexualize an underage person. It's not just bonding of father and son, it has to be about birds and bees? Why? What's so important about it?

Don't mention this mass paranoia, please. Seriously, you guys in US made such a bogeyman out of Trump that you are now shitting your pants for no reason just hearing someone mention his name.

Oh he's a racist, faschist, mysogynist, whatever. And who is yelling loudest of all? Racists (which are, by the way, not only white people oppressing the black, but vice versa too), mysogynysts, fascists, liars, haters, sore losers, and other folk whos cozy little world is crumbling.

For god's sake, I already heard news of him having a harem of Russian Prostitutes. Now I only have to wait for a photo of him and Satan caught on camera, as they are clubbing the baby seal.

What did Trump say that was so bad, exactly? Oh, yes, of course when compared to Obama, he said a lot of stuff. Obama was all nice and fluffy in his speeches, but it didn't make his actions any better.

I suggest instead of panicking you should just wait and see. And go with this discussion to the Politics board.

I really don't understand why anyone would think that having elected someone like Trump would mean a repression of sex anywhere, let alone on the Internet.

I'm not in the US. But the Yahoo Adult group and the moderators were. They decided to take that group down before Friday. A couple of years ago Yahoo US had already modified their Adult groups to appease certain political pressures in the US. You can't find US-based adult groups by searching Yahoo US. You can if you use Yahoo in other countries.

I removed my stories because the group was closing, not because of Friday.

May I remind you there are no/none/nil political pressures as of yet?

As I said, paranoia. And srsly, discuss Trump somewhere else pls. There's a whole forum for that wher you will find eager auditory.

Gee, you've been here ten minutes and you already own the place--or act like you do. I think my post was on point of a legitimate topic being posted to AH. As you yourself have noted, I don't see the cause and effect on this issue--and said so, and would say so even if you showed me your bill of sale for Literotica. ;)

I remember a couple of stories that slipped through the gaps. When I brought them up - when I asked why a story of mine had been rejected for underage content when it was clearly mentioned that both characters were over eighteen - the mods wanted me to tell them what the stories were called. I decided not to as a protest. :D

I don't believe for a moment that you're the one setting the rules around here. This idea of yours that a 17 year old is a little child is absurd. I find the story I mentioned entirely acceptable within the actual rules of Literotica. What sex there is in this story takes place after the participants are of legal age, so no problem. And thinking a parent talking about the birds and the bees to their son or daughter, is in any possible way objectionable, then it's your problem, not mine.

Actually it is your problem. Get on Laurel's wrong side with underage and you will find it very hard to get anything posted. Stick to over the age of 18 characters and you will find things smoother all around. The site owner set the age at 18, not us. So take it up with her.

Why are you fighting so hard for under age sex in your story? Children of any age do not engage in sexual activity, so there is no history of any event occurring and as such no need to mention. Write around it, be creative ...

The rule that no one has sex or thinks about sex before the age of 18 is one of the only strict rules of Literotica.

It has nothing to do with whether a 17 year old is a child or not. It is a rule set by the owners of this site.

Don't like it? Then don't try to post on Literotica. It is that simple.

You've asked a question. You have been told the answer several times.

Remind me? Remind me of what? There has always been a threat in the US of pressure to reduce and/or close down sites that host erotica. Some of that threat is from particular Christian entities in the US. It isn't necessarily President-elect Trump personally but a Republican President with a Republican administration that can do things that a Democrat President with a Republican administration couldn't and wouldn't do.

That is a legitimate topic for authors who post here. I think, but don't know, that the threat is one of the reasons why Literotica set an 18 and over rule. It makes Literotica less of a target than some other sites that allow almost anything.

I have posted a separate thread in the Politics Forum but I'm more likely to get reasoned responses here.
