Hello. All the cool kids hangin in here?
There are some very cool kids hanging in here, and I'm here too!
Yeah, but you make the ROOM cool. #iceicebaby
Well, ghosts are known to cause cold patches...
By my Casper and I'll be your wendy
I'll be your Sarah connor too.
Linda, Lena, or Emilia?
Emilia
And at this point, the conversation became entirely too geek-nuanced for me.
Heh!
Sorry, Var and I never do these things halfway.
...speaking of which, did you want to join in at all?
If so, you'd be welcome!
I WAS thinking about it. I've got a couple ideas, unless you have something in mind for me to play?
Cameron. Kitchen. Bra and panties. Most paused scene ever on my TV. Sorry. She's beautifully crafted.
Summer glau is the model for my Star Wars character Serenity in the star wars thread.
We're flexible-ish, but with a cast this big it's difficult to avoid overmuch overlap-- I don't want anyone's uniqueness to get infringed upon.
It would be cool if we could get a replacement Waterbender/amphibious/fish-whisperer type to fill in for Kaldur'ahm while he's on injured reserve. I was going to NPC a Lorena Marquez so we would have that niche at least partly represented in the next arc, but if a player wants to take on that archetype than that's so much the better.
What were your notions?
The idea is that a little over a month ago in-game the entire massive Justice League went missing and it's up to the also-rans, sidekicks, rookies, and unknowns to step up and form a new League in the face of a darker, scarier world-- and, unbeknownst to our heroes, what lies beyond this world in the greater New Wave Multiverse.
OCs are welcome, canons are encouraged, transplants from other canons are okay within reason, but within the bounds of our own little continuity, you're free to make canons your own too-- and cherrypick your favorite aspects from different versions, mix and match. My primary requirement is that characters should fit cohesively and organically within a DC world.
I'll do my best to answer your questions about the existing storyline and who's appeared and who hasn't.
Well, I could do Jaime Reyes again. He definitely fits a darker mode.
Or I have an original character called Braggock (interestingly enough, I play him in DC Universe).
He was hit by a meteor made up of an alien substance that is tremendously durable, absorbs and stores ambient heat. Probably some sort of ship armor/power supply substance from an ancient battle.
The event caused him to bond with the meteorite on a cellular level. A year later, he breaks his way out of the cooled slag of his own grave, and is a 7 foot tall obsidian behemoth with lava for blood. He absorbed the heat of the strike and can control and release it as a fire weapon. He's also got super strength and virtual physical invulnerability on par with a kryptonians.
He doesn't do cold well, it slows him down and can put him into hibernation. Also he has a weakness for psyionic, gravity based, or magnetic powers.
But he's basically a living meteor, so who cares about a few weaknesses?
...I do kind of like the sound of this Braggock fella.
I mean, I love me some Jaime Reyes, but we have an OC named G.R.I.D. who wears an alien suit that talks in his head, so there's your overlap. :/
But while we have a fiery character in Ghost Rider, it's mystical, demonic fire-- other than Kryptonian and/or Martian eyebeams we don't really have a heat specialist yet, and we could use a little more raw muscle. Plus, with that list of weaknesses, I can see that he's well-balanced.
Also-also, our old friend Lunar is developing a character concept for his own version of the Wesley Dodds/Sand Hawkins "Sandman" persona, so that'll synergize well with a guy made out of solid rock.
Would you mind working up a bio for him?
