Medium rare, but can do on the more rare side. If it's medium, it's overcooked.

Do females prefer a more well done cut of meat?

Why no medium selection? I don't want it still mooing or as a burnt offering. However, if you really want to start a debate ask people if they eat it plain or with a sauce like A-1 or Worcestershire as a condiment

Blue.
"No, Mr Waiter, that does not mean medium-rare, it means blue. Just because I am female does not mean I don't know what a blue steak is."
*sigh*
I can't remember how many times I have ordered a blue steak, only to have it come to the table med-rare or medium

I agree with rainsjine though

I know this is a typo, but I'm still trying to pronounce it. Kinda looks Nordic or Skand. "rayne-schinnee." :D

Anyway, I think it's a cool mistake. I'm gonna nick it for a character name, if you don't mind. ;)

I say by gender than women are more likely to burn your steak, so keep them away from the grill...

Always the victim, WQ.

A huge porterhouse steak, medium rare with mushrooms in white wine sauce, and a glass of v. chilled dry white wine.

Medium or well done. I do not like the taste of blood. Too gamey.
