Trump and the American Divide

I didn't vote for them either.

I went with Gary BIG Johnson...

The best thing to come out of this election was how style overcomes money. The Left hated the Citizen's United ruling because it meant big corporate money was going to dominate elections from here on out. Yet the two big money raisers were dispatched by a shoe-string organization with a Twitter account.

"Style" is a generous way of describing Cap'n Comb-over.

The money thing was interesting. Hillary paid 6 times as much for each contested EC vote.

What would have happened if Trump had bombed 600 million into uncontested California?

Close to the same result.

Style is not a judgement of good or bad but more or less about being different than a politician...

Maybe we should take a look at the why meth has become a problem in rural areas. Now there would an interesting thread.

Simple. Meth production is easy to conceal out in the boondocks, and less of a hazard when you fuck up making it.

It's no where near the problem of heroin...

That shit is tearing the west coast up.

All comes in on Chinese ships and spreads east.

In a good number of cities, the supply of heroin has dwindled, and in some cases virtually disappeared, and has been replaced by fentanyl, which is cheaper and more potent.

Stories of ODs and deaths from fentanyl have been becoming more and more common in news feeds, and have been increasing over the last 1 1/2 - 2 years.

I wonder how much more heroin has come into the US
since Barry let anyone cross the southern border. How much more
misery, crime, and death has all that heroin caused. Another skid mark
on his disastrous presidency.

Did ISIS ever find you?

Gotta love that American entrepreneurial spirit! :D

That's Trump's philosophy.

Goota put up with the shit one way or another, might as well get paid.

Petition against Trump's finger on the nuclear button.

I've just had a request to sign a petition to President Obama asking him to ensure, before he leaves office, that President-elect Trump should not have the power to use nuclear weapons.

I haven't and won't sign it.

I was in the Defence industry at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The whole point of the nuclear stand-off was that both sides couldn't predict how the other would react.

If the leaders of the USA and the USSR were predictable then the other side could act knowing what the response would be and plan for that response.

If they weren't predictable, the response was unknown and therefore could be disastrous for the attacker.

Whoever is President of the United States has the power to launch nuclear weapons. That power has kept the world from major conflict for seventy years.

If President-elect Trump is unpredictable, then the US's enemies will be worried.

That's how it should be.

I am not willing to go that far.

A war on drugs puts a premium on smuggling.

It also drains Capital from the markets/economy because it has to be paid for.
