Trump smeared on everything and everyone!
1973 the Department of Justice sued Trump Management, of which Trump was the president, for refusing to rent apartments to African-Americans. Specifically, the government charged that the company had violated the Fair Housing Act—a landmark piece of legislation passed in 1968, partly in tribute to King’s desegregation work.

On the same day that Donald Trump made a fool of himself by attacking civil rights hero Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) for being all talk, including racist stereotypes about his district’s “crime” (read with intended Nixonian dog whistle, or replace with modern version: “urban”), the Trump team brought cover with the announcement that Trump would be visiting the museum that prominently features Rep. Lewis’ civil rights efforts, which included bloodshed for freedom and equality; whereas Donald Trump is a draft-dodger.

"...a group of more than 1,100 law school professors from across the US sent a letter to Congress urging the Senate to reject Mr Sessions' appointment.
The letter, signed by professors from 170 law schools in 48 states, including prominent legal scholars including Laurence H Tribe of Harvard Law School and Geoffrey R Stone of the University of Chicago Law School, stated: “We are convinced that Jeff Sessions will not fairly enforce our nation’s laws and promote justice and equality in the United States.

The Despair of the Jeff Sessions Hearing
January 11, 2017
George Wallace was the Alabama governor and third-party presidential candidate whose motto was “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” When he died in 1998, Sessions remembered him fondly:
"He’ll be remembered as one of the most formidable third-party candidates in this century, as a person who challenged the liberal elite in America."
- Jeff Sessions, Senator (R) Alabama
Put those comments in your pipe and smoke them for a few seconds. An individual who’s about to become the United States’ top law enforcement official has implied that an armed defense of actual human slavery is among America’s most “fabulous” accomplishments, and he's nostalgic for segregationism because it drove the “liberal elite” bonkers.
