Warning

Donald Trump’s incoming chief of staff warned that the top U.S. ethics official “ought to be careful” after publicly criticizing the president-elect’s plan to step down from leading his businesses while keeping his ownership interests.

“That person is becoming extremely political,” incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” about Walter Shaub Jr., director of the Office of Government Ethics.

“I’m not sure what this person at Government Ethics, what sort of standing he has any more to be giving these opinions,” Priebus said.

Outgoing CIA Director John Brennan has warned US President-elect Donald Trump to avoid off-the-cuff remarks once he takes office.

He said spontaneity was not in the interests of national security.

Mr Brennan also said that Mr Trump did not fully appreciate Russia's capabilities or intentions.

"I think Mr Trump has to understand that absolving Russia of various actions that it's taken in the past number of years is a road that he, I think, needs to be very, very careful about moving down," he said.

Israel-Palestinian conflict: Summit warns against unilateral actions

Representatives of nations at a conference aimed at kick-starting peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians have warned that neither side should take unilateral actions.

In a statement, delegates at the summit in Paris also restated their commitment to the two-state solution.

News Flash:

1. phrodeau hates Trump
2. liberal media still buddy-buddy with Democrats and hates Trump
3. the main thing other countries see of the US is guided by liberal medai

Oh wait, I'm sorry. This isn't news. Some people are butt-hurt that their SJW feelings are being triggered by Trump, and they cyclicly hurt their own feelings by dedicating their lives to yelling at the world how much they hate Trump.

If it wasn't so entertaining to hear their whining, a third of the regular posters in this thread would be on the blocked list, but it's too damn funny to see the virtual steam coming out of their ears. Welcome to life, bitches. Hopefully Trump's administration can un-do the massive amounts of fuckups that obama caused.

Nice try, but my family tree does have many branches.
I'm glad to see that you'd rather talk smack about me rather than try to disprove what I wrote. It's funny that CF thinks anyone outside of her echo chaber cares about the non-stop repetitions of "the world hates trump".

Wrong.

I have no interest in conversing with Mr. Bitch Cunt

Your last few posts about Hillary - inbred fucktard

Nice try, but my family tree does have many branches.

Write something worth disproving first.

The world does not hate Trump ,it just think he's a lying ,racist ,cheating clown ,and are laughing at him .

The funniest thing I kept hearing (almost exclusively from Russian trolls) is if Hillary were to be president she'd start WWIII with Russia.

Yet here we are, Trump yapping at his mouth, with a country who has shown its "claim" to the South China Sea and Taiwan by creating fake islands. Not to mention they downed one our surveillance planes during the Bush administration by "accidentally" bumping into it and forcing it to land on their territory where they swooped up any bits of intelligence they could find.

Militarily China cannot compete with us, even by sheer numbers. What they can do is make a complete mess of our economy since we rely so heavily on them making stuff for us. WalMart and Target, not to mention many others companies, would fold up shop if China started putting the screws to the products in those stores by slowing or refusing to make them.

Even funnier, if China decides they've had enough with Trump's yapping, who will Trump and his daughter get to make their name brand clothes? Mexico?

Why would Trump care?

According to him, it's only the so-called American "intelligence" community, and they're a bunch of losers who "got it wrong [sic]" on WMDs.

Pretty soon, all of his minions will be thinking of the "intelligence" community in the same way they think of the "MSM," if they don't already.

He (or rather Bannon, remote controlling him) has decided the intel agencies are a threat--mainly because they currently possess an authority that challenges their authority. They want their viewpoint to replace everything else, and everything he's done as PEOTUS has been systematically taking aim at deeply held sources of cultural authority they don't like. All are"sad."

CNN, MSM as "fake news"

Civil Rights Movement

All that is part of the past, no longer creditable.

I have never been able to understand the claim Mainland China has any claim to Taiwan. It is over a century since any control has existed. Taiwan has been a de facto independent country for almost 70 years and, before that, it was part of the Japanese Empire.

This is the synopsis since WWII:

When Japan surrendered at the end of World War II, they signed control of Taiwan over to mainland China. However, since China was embroiled in the Chinese Civil War, the Unted States was supposed to serve as the primary occupying power in the immmediate post-war period.

Chiang Kai-shek's Nationalist government, the KMT, disputed American occupation rights in Taiwan, and set up a Republic of China (ROC) government there in October of 1945. The Taiwanese greeted the Chinese as liberators from harsh Japanese rule, but the ROC soon proved corrupt and inept.

When the KMT lost the Chinese Civil War to Mao Zedong and the Communists, the Nationalists retreated to Taiwan and based their government in Taipei. Chiang Kai-shek never relinquished his claim over mainland China; likewise, the People's Republic of China continued to claim sovereignty over Taiwan.

The United States, preoccupied with the occupation of Japan, abandoned the KMT in Taiwan to its fate - fully expecting that the Communists would soon route the Nationalists from the island. When the Korean War broke out in 1950, however, the US changed its position on Taiwan; President Harry S Truman sent the American Seventh Fleet in to the Straits between Taiwan and the mainland to prevent the island from falling to the Communists. The US has supported Taiwanese autonomy ever since.

Taiwan | Facts and History

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Taiwan was under the authoritarian one-party rule of Chiang Kai-shek until his death in 1975. In 1971, the United Nations recognized the People's Republic of China as the proper holder of the Chinese seat in the UN (both the Security Council and the General Assembly). The Republic of China (Taiwan) was expelled.

In 1975, Chiang Kai-shek's son, Chiang Ching-kuo, succeeded his father. Taiwan received another diplomatic blow in 1979, when the United States withdrew its recognition from the Republic of China and instead recognized the People's Republic of China.

Chiang Ching-kuo gradually loosened his grip on absolute power during the 1980s, recinding the state of martial law that had lasted since 1948. Meanwhile, Taiwan's economy boomed on the strength of high-tech exports. The younger Chiang passed away in 1988, and further political and social liberalization led to the free election of Lee Teng-hui as president in 1996.

Basically the claim these days is political. Territoriality Taiwan has been independent since WWII.
