The new lamb ad is out

Denny

Here we sit in the midwest USA eating Big Mac's and drinkin Cokes.

The two girls in the corner sure have nice racks!

And I think it's the best one yet.

"Cameos by Sam Kekovich, Olympian Cathy Freeman, former Rugby star Wendell Sailor, cooking star Poh Ling Yeow, cricket legend Adam Gilchrist and comedian Rhys Nicholson, as well as a brief refresher course on the history of our nation all in celebration of Australia Day."

You Aussies are lucky. In the U.S. lamb is the most expensive meat in the bin, and mutton you cannot find at all. I have no idea why, I'm sure there are plenty of sheep in this country.

Oh pwease, pwease hide me!

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by
With bright knives he releaseth my soul
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places
He converteth me to lamb cutlets
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger
When cometh the day we lowly ones
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate
Lo, we shall rise up
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water

Stop posting the cute little lambs. It's wrecking my fantasy of having lamb with girlsmiley!

Who needs mint sauce? People who overcook their mutton?

there is 5 other things going in the burgers, and you question my mint sauce?

Also, we dont tend to get mutton, and at least with the mint and vinegar version it helps with the fat.

Lamb and gravy, now theres something I dont understand.

I just see mint overused with lamb. Some people think that you need mint with lamb like you need ketchup for fries. I don't eat fries with ketchup, either.

I do like rosemary and garlic with my lamb.

I like the fresh herbs with the lamb, but mint doesn't always appeal to me. I just don't really think to use it.

That was my intent. I've no idea what ad you're talking about because, duh...I'm over here. LOVE lamb though.

How's your butt muscle spasms?

Sorry sweetheart. I was lazy to explain the ads. It's been very hot here in Sydney and I've been working and the kids are on school holidays. My baby goes back to school on the 30th. Vacation care. So work and sorting bills and swimming and keeping the kids occupied... Lit hasn't been at the top of my try very hard list. It's 44 fucking degrees out west today. I'm sitting outside in me bra and knickers it's that hot. Sweating my proverbial balls off.

Every year before Australia Day, they release a lamb ad. They're usually fun and hilarious. Usually, it's Sam Kekovich starring, who is world famous in Australia for being a media personality, sports commentator, Australian 'Lambassador' and former Aussie Rules football player. Which is why you see the Aussies in this thread asking 'where's Sam?' Classic line from Sam: "Islamabad? No it's not!"

I'm pretty much healed. Chiro cracked a few bones and I had a lovely massage.

I usually buy a boneless shoulder and grind the meat myself. While it's grinding, (I put it through the grinder twice), I add garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary, and pepper. And then form the patties to cook right away or freeze for later. Lamb is my favorite red meat, definitely.

Sounds yummy :)

Try a leg roast love. It should be small and pink because you want lamb, not mutton. Stab some holes all over and shove some garlic and rosemary in there. Roast on high with some potatoes and a sweet and tasty variety of pumpkin. Turn it down to about 150 C after 20 minutes. Doesn't take long. Maybe an hour and a half to cook. It should be pink in the middle after resting. Gravy with pan juices is a must, but remove lots of fat with pieces of bread first. Serve with fresh green beans.

You would make a fine Aussie indeed. Just saying. :)

You dont need ketchup ever, let alone for 'fries'

I probably have mint sauce.... 1/3 of the time.

My mother used to do honey and rosemary lamb which I I hated...not for the taste, because cleaning the fucking roasting tray took forever.

Smiley, why would you crack a vegan, the lamb isnt even cooked yet!

You remind me of O'Keeffe sometimes, mate. :D

The US export tonnes overseas. Or tons. Silly Yanks.

Perhaps it's like NZ, where they charge export price at store level even though it isn't export quality.

no lamb for you St Peter?

I like lamb a lot; but I don't enjoy taking care of sheep much :(. Luckily decent welfare lamb is available here; some of the older primitive breeds are delicious. And really lovely looking.

That must be a fetish lamb thing because I've no idea what the fuck you're talking about love.
