I guess lots of folks here couldn't be bothered to read CNN's clear rebutal to Trump's crazy charges--coming from someone who is sleazing his way into the presidency and deciding who can and who can not ask him questions purely based on his juvenile thin skin.
Whether or not this is fake news, having it happen to Trump is delicious irony and divine retribution--as is listening to the testimony of all of his cabinet appointees that show that they disagree with him on the Russians--and clearly would call him out for being Putkin's boy toy if they only could.

AMong the many lies Trump has told, he has stated this was FBI-gathered "classified" material. NOT TRUE. FAKE NEWS.
He has also stated he was never given this material, never saw it, was never briefed on it. NOT TRUE. FAKE NEWS.
The "dossier" was commissioned way back last year by his Republican rivals, who hired an ex-spy, now named, to dig up dirt on Trump. Never "classified." NOT part of US American intelligence gathering.
In the course of investigating, the "spy" became so concerned about the possible blackmail material he was discovering, that he gave the dossier to the FBI and CIA, etc. The Republicans had it; CNN had it, journalists and everyone else knew about it. No one published it because it could not be substantiated.
The only reason it has become an issue is last Friday, while testifying before Congress, James Clapper and others included a two page synopsis redacted, along with ITS own intel report on the Russian hacking, and said, "We briefed both President Obama and Donald Trump about this dossier," a statement Trump now categorically denies.
Because this material, or reference to it, was made openly, in Congress, and the redacted part now a matter of PUBLIC record, CNN and other news outlets reported on it.
Only Buzzfeed published the entire dossier. CNN did not, and CNN as well as the NYT said, "We cannot corroborate this material."
All of that is fact--unless, of course, you live in la la land,
Trump is very upset that this material got out. He's enraged, and THAT is why he attacked CNN as being "FAKE NEWS."
Nothing they reported about this was "fake," but he does not want, for whatever reason, any of this to become public knowledge or to be given any credence or any value, so he's attacking the news outlets AND US intel, who are telling the American people about it.
