The Constitution has NOTHING to do with social justice. It is most emphatically a legal document which puts it squarely into the realm of REGULAR JUSTICE; you know, the legislated kind.

Any policy aimed at reducing the current incidence of murder amongst gangmembers in Chicago would involve a racial component. It would, of necessity, involve even more incarceration for lengthier stays for young, black men then is currently the case where they are already disproportionately locked up.

Without a doubt, such aggressive, community-specific policing would firectly impact murder rates, and plenty of the usual suspects caught up in such a dragnet would, on paper, be getting jail time for what seem to be minor offenses. Such a police state would rely on informants to lock up seriously bad actors for whatever you can "get them on."

The accusation will be systemic racism. As was the effective stop and frisk program. Both would be unconstitutional if actually codified.

The impetus behind such measures did not pop up because cops were bored and thought it wpuld be entertaining to harrass some blacks.

I had a fascinating conversation today with on this very subject with a Berkeley educated New York college professor and former Brooklyn resident now lives out here.

He would agree with Lincoln, but then he surprised me by acknowledging the prevalence of preferential treatment of non-white males in "places of power" as he put it. He gave specific examples in the Ivys and graduate programs. He assures me such things would never happen at state colleges and undergraduate programs because it wouldn't be "worth the effort" for SJWs to put their thumb on the scale in places that don't involve sharing crown jewels. No answer for where the farm league would be for those Ivy set-asides.

His complaint is that the middle class pays all the taxes (valid) to support those that do not, themselves, strive to better themselves. (Also valid.)

His solution is to get the rich to pay more to lift the bottom classes, while acknowleging the war on poverty has not lifted the bottom at all and that paying taxes for the truly rich is optional. Just as people with nice beach houses in California do not need to earn their money in California, when Tennessee and Texas have fine corporate lawyers, tax accountants and banks, same goes for earning money anchored to the US.

So more money doesn't help, and you can't get more money, but the idea that SJW is a fraud is a bridge too far. It's the fault of the greedy rich.

Off topic so I'll relate it elsewhere but on the Russian "hack" (phish) he earnestly wanted my opinion on how the hack impacked election results and what will/should be US retalitoty action. This is a well-read, "informed" alphabet news watching guy. Reasonably open-minded, not a partisan hack. He was under the impression (as, I believe was the admin's aim) that the Russians actually hacked machines. He was relieved that the "hack" was the Podesta email phish, which he was well versed with. Propaganda is used because it works.
