I have Taking The Piss accepted and A Very Rare Species rejected at present in my stories.
Both feature a rape.

What's the difference?

I think you need to stop asking this question over and over here. Only Laurel knows why a story is rejected. We don't. If her rejection letter wasn't clear you have to take it up with her.

Given that you seem to have had several rejections now, or so it sounds, it's possible you're at the wrong site?

You might want to try http://www.asstr.org . They let you post whatever you want.

And what is the fascination with rape?

Rape is not about sex. It's about control through terror. There is nothing sexy about rape.

Rape is many thing, Not just one.

Rape is many things to many people. The PC one definition of Rape is inaccurate, ridiculousky simplistic and obscures and lumps Terrorizing Rape in with much less serious occurrences. This actually makes it worse for victims of Terrorizing Rape to get help, legal support and convictions.

When young women are Roofied, and then Raped, it is DEFINITELY ABOUT SEX! Denying that fact serves NO purpose and in a REAL way further victimized the young woman further, by equating her Rape with other forms of non-sexual violence like beating. People get over beatings a hell of avlot easier than they get over being Raped, for obvious reasons!

I am not defending or promoting Rape of any type, it has little interest for me personslly.

Just trying to get away from the same kind of nonsence PC Slogans like "All Mothers are Working Mother", which while popular, is ridiculous, because it equates a woman eho is a Mother and ALSO works a full time job or more than one job AND raises her children and keep house, and often a relationship. . .
with a Mother whose only responsibility and time commitment is raising her children and keep house and often a relationship.

Clearly the 1st one is 10 times harder than the 2nd one. To claim otherwise with the juvenile PC mantra "All Mothers are working Mothers" is insulting, arrogant and ludicrous.

Zeb beat me to it. Looking through your threads you're asstr material all day long. Go there, nothing ever gets rejected at least not for content.

Let me guess you're a loving wives fan? They usually spew about things that have to do with women in that same way right down to the fact they generally make little sense.

"much less serious" forms of rape?

...let me guess, you've never had anything to do with counselling rape survivors, you've never bothered reading any research about this stuff, but nevertheless you feel like you're qualified to tell rape survivors what counts as Not Actual Rape?

This actually makes it worse for victims of Terrorizing Rape to get help, legal support and convictions.

Nah. What makes it hard for rape survivors to get those things is people like you who push the idea that it's not really rape unless it fits some bullshit criteria for Real Rape that you just made up.

I am not defending or promoting Rape of any type, it has little interest for me personslly.

Bullshit. When you try to redefine rape so that only your made-up category of "Terrorizing Rape" counts, you are defending all the other forms of rape. This is exactly how a lot of rapists justify their actions to themselves, by telling themselves that what they're doing isn't real rape.

Ah, but someone here once said a thing that I found very good, so I'll quote it:

"You can post Rape stories on Lit, but not Rapist stories."

What this means, is that your stories that fall into Rape category need to be gratifying for those who fantacise about being raped, forced, abused, etc.

What is not acceptable is stories for those who get off on raping and abusing others.

I digress.
What I wanted to say is that there's nothing wrong with obsession with Rape category, and it is a valid SEXY category. Real Rape is not sexy, but fantasy Rape is, for many people.
Hell, even I fantasize about being raped, sometimes, and I'm dominant by nature.:cattail:

I hope to God you are not a Judge or never on a jury in such a case.

[1] Let's start with the definition:-
"Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration perpetrated against a person without that person's consent. "
(from Wiki)

[2] No.
All Rape is about sex. It's whether the sex is by the consent of both parties.
I'm uncertain about the term "Roofied", but I presume you mean drugged.
Any man shagging a party whilst she's out of it has all the brain power of a maggot, IMO, and guilty of an assault, for which a suitably punishment should be meted out.

That thought is sound and I've posted several times the difference between rape and rapist fantasies. Main difference is women read with 'rape fantasy' in mind as in they enjoy the thought of it, but would never want it in real life and the 'victim' starting to enjoy it matches their fantasy.

Rapist fantasy means the reader-most often male for rapist fantasy-is enjoying it as the 'attacker' meaning what is getting them off is forcing someone and hurting them. They would never do it in real life( we hope) but there is no mistake what is getting them off is the abuse of it.

But Rapist does have factions. One faction-the majority or maybe I hope it is-also wants the victim to eventually enjoy it because its an ego stroke "I knew she really wanted me" or "I knew she's like it, little slut"

The hardcore rapist fan however and I was told this by one of them who wanted me to write a sequel to my one entry in non con/reluctance and was going to pay me for it said that stories where the girl begins to enjoy it are 'boner killers'

Non con is partly interpretation on the readers part and no one can control that. Just like we all can say character is 19 but there are those reading picturing the character as under age because that's what we want.

I'll end in a predictable manner for me. If the site didn't allow it-as they claim they don't-we would never have these rejection threads or people endlessly debating what is rape and where the line is. If the category was strictly reluctance it would end all this

"Does lit allow rape?" let me look at the categories...hmmm....no.

Now its "Does lit allow rape?" Hmm...Oh look, non consent! yes they do! or even better...let me look through the non consent stories...yes they do! Then there is the odd rejection and they come here "But but...." and the sycophants tell them there is this rule, but can't show where it really exists.

It wouldn't be a stretch to think this person has read some Roosh V material. They'll get along famously with a regular poster here.

Wow! what a response and thanks ...but
please take your discussions about rape elsewhere, this is about what is the difference in my stories and there isn't any.

I don't only feature rape bu a long way, I write on many subjects, whatever come to mind, inspires me from news items, observations and every day things.

I have been in ASSTR for years and yes have many more subjects, taboo in here but in ASSTR as there is no rejection. However I like this site more these days and will persist.

This site for all it's vices - too difficult to get your way round it, where on the CP is a button for MY Stories, lots of pictures, rejection for spelling errors? is still my prime go to for new works and the editing I am working on of lots of ASSTR works, which will eventually appear here.

Quite frankly ( am I the only one to voice opinions? ) I am on several large forums far away from literature and porn and they are much easier to navigate.

If you already have stories on asstr and are moving them here that is going to lead to more rejections. Asstr has no content rules and even formatting and grammar seem absent there so many stories that are fine there, won't be here.

And plenty of people express opinions here. Its a freedom of speech site. The issue is that if any of your opinions is that this site is less than 100% perfect and critical in anyway you will be beset upon by brown nosers.

And if you keep talking about rape at some point you may start seeing some of your posts erased. LIts thing is they'll carry a lot of it, but no one is supposed to call it that.

Find an app that translates 'real rules' into hypocrisy and you'll figure it all out.

[1] I will reiterate for those who don't know the legal definition of Rape.

Rape is not about sex. Rape is about control. Whether you use a gun, a knife or drugs to accomplish your goal, it is Rape.

[2] It's called Date Rape for a reason, because it's Rape.

Anyone who thinks Rape is about sex is clearly a misogynist. Rapists are right up there with Child Molesters, the scum of the earth at best. IMHO.

And now I feel sorry for you. :(

LoveCraft Thanks, I appreciate your response so quickly.

That is what I stated above - I am taking my stuff from ASSTR and re-writing the suitable ones for here as I knew it wouldn't be acceptable - I have some tales on bestiality for instance, a No No here.
I think I am not bad with spelling, it maybe the vernacular.

Keep talking about rape??? I didn't - only to highlight a rejection with rape included the other accepted.

There's no way for us to know what was the reason of rejection. What was the official reason? If you go to your members section, then submissions, then click "rejected" link near your submission - at the top there will be your reason.

Also if you think that the reason was a mistake, you can contact Laurel and try to reason with her.
