The good news is that Congress is already hard at work

It's windy in here, and looks like zippi is no longer shooting straight.

Again...agreed, not a big thread.

Good to see you're now better able to grasp the context and nuance in my use of certain phrases.

I would prefer not to have had to spell it out for you and sean, but do understand why you guys go for the Grammar Buddy shots when you run out of room.

I can grasp what a burden assuaging your ego must be.

I got a first hand look at narcissism during this past election so it's easier for me to forgive you for things you can't control.

Feel better. :)

I think you should try lighter topics for a bit to get your confidence back up...you're a great guy!

I wouldn't want to step on your toes by doing that.

Especially now that you're finally calming down.

You have my full support in fighting your inner demons. :)

Yes indeed, House Republicans were so anxious to get started that they went to work late last night.

Unfortunately the bad news is that they did so in order to gut the Office of Congressional Ethics, the independent body established to investigate Congressional misdeeds.

"Drain the Swamp" indeed.

House Republicans reverse their plans to eviscerate the Office of Congressional Ethicshttp://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/house-republicans-vote-eviscerate-office-congressional-ethics/

The link upon which your aha! thread was based now reads as above (see bold text).

(which is kinda funny, considering)

Despite your fail, which you really couldn't have forseen, I think you could have saved the thread by talking about the Anonymous aspects of OCE vs the Republican payback aspects and the move to block the Democrats on other upcoming procedural matters.

Sure, it would be boring as fuck and without me involved would sink like a rock...but it would at least be relevant.

Yes, now it reads that way because the story was updated after I posted the thread. That's how most internet news sites work. Perhaps you still read actual newspapers because you're old, but you should at least understand something basic like that. In other words, your "gotcha" is what fails miserably.

You're starting to come across as desperate, which isn't a good look on anyone.

Just sayin'

How old is zipman, btw? I always felt that he was in his late 20's, maybe early 30's.

I finally got your attention, didn't I?

You're lucky that I wasn't referring to mental age, tho

Shorty trying desperately to spin his ignorance is hilarious. Never change, Little Lance, you're pure entertainment.

Trump Twatted about it at 7:03 Eastern time and you started the thread nearly 4 hours later.

So yeah, they'd already reversed course before you made your first post on the non-event.

Sweet!

No they didn't, Shorty. The House Republican meeting withdrawing the measure wasn't even convened until just before noon Eastern Time. Your Google Fu is week.

Trump tweeted his opinion early in the morning. They didn't pull the issue until early afternoon.

Ego + desperation = stupidity.

This is Eyer level idiocy. Just let it go. You're making a fool of yourself. I'm getting embarrassed for you.

The fix was in hours before Zip posted his Big Reveal.

Fail. Get over it, boys.

I think the whole thing was about inoculating someone. Probably Ryan.

Democrats successfully tied up a Speaker that House once before Tom DeLay spent years trying to get his reputation back.

Now if they come up with some anonymous bullshit to try to drag Ryan down the Republicans will be able to say, "See?? This is why we wanted to reform that office."

They had to know that the Democrats who set up the office we're going to squawk loudly.

In the alternative, they possibly really were that dumb.

Anyone remember when Scotty used to continue insisting he was right long after it had been shown he was full of shit?

LMAO. That's an article from 6:32 pm on Tuesday.

Now this is getting funny again.

Trump's tweet was the first thing. But people were calling their congressman all morning long which is when they realized they fucked up. Remember, the fact that they fucked up was my main point.

You're so desperate to be right you don't even remember what you're arguing anymore.

This is kind of like the Academy Awards. Some people can discuss the movies and others can only comment on what people are wearing.

You're the new Melissa Rivers of Lit. :D

I think the interesting thing is the way Trump uses Twitter to run the show in real time.

7am over juice and toast he changes the House Agenda for the day. Cool.

I wonder how much Twitter stock he owns?

Trump PredictaQuote:

" I slashed the cost of the Presidential Communications Budget by 80% and by the way, I made lots of money on the deal through Twitter stock. Not bad? Not bad."

Trump's tweet was the first thing.

There you go.
