While Trump saves and creates JOBS, AHM Obama closes 150 Sears and 87 Macy's stores

Sears/Kmart has been a dinosaur for at least 20 years and Macy's isn't far behind. Who goes to a mall anymore? I'm surprised they're still there in business at all.

Malls are still a great draw for teens.

My kid is always there and has her dream job there.

It is also a destination for the elderly who walk for miles and miles and miles in the AM.

Our Macy's, Sears and Kmart are still in business. Of the three, I would say it is most likely the Sears will close first.

Wrong Turd boy

strong horse Trump would have ordered the stores to stay open ordered them to be profitable ordered them to hire thousands of people and that's the way it would have been:cool:

Pres Dee Strong Horse Trump is GOD

You are certainly not an economic illiterate.

Please quit acting like you play one on TV.

Most teenagers at malls are there to socialize and go to the food court. The elderly are walking before the stores open and don't buy anything. Brick and mortar retail is quickly becoming a thing of the past Why go shopping when you can order just about anything online and have it delivered in a few days?

In the name of Robert Silverberg, what malls need to do is to branch out into communities based around casual high-end shopping...,

;) ;)

... a lot like the Plaza in KC, but enclosed. Include living spaces so you never have to leave home.

This statement is pure stupid. If you know how retail works, the POTUS has nothing to do with it.

Store closures are based upon lease agreements with the mall, rent and volume that the store does. I am surprised that Sears is still going. They have been fading for years.
