Get Well StarryNightin64

Had my first panic attack in a long time. Only 1 week till move day & only my 1 friend said she'd be there to help me move. Since it's a week day I may have to rent a truck cause we were planning to use her husband's truck & trailer.

I just want to go be sick & hide

I am about as far away as one can get and still be in the US but I would help if I could. Good luck with moving!

Thanks. I'm gonna need all the help I can get. I put an SOS out for help on FB & had 2 lady friends offer to come help around their jobs. If I am lucky at least one will show up. Otherwise this is normal. I ask for help for me & it's not happening.

Maybe that thread asking if women really like multiple men is on to something.
I could sure use about 3 or so of them here to help right now.

YAY!!! Finally in your new place. That is great! Hope it is the beginning of many happy times.

It's sure going to be a lot more like living like a normal person.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to get there to help. I've been trapped here.

It's ok. Right now I hurt so bad from the last couple of weeks both shoulders are burning even when resting. How are you doing??

Ok you better be getting well. :rose::rose::kiss::kiss: How you doing my dear.

I'm hurting and sore from the packing and move. You two will have to come visit when it's not box city from unpacking hell. I'm going to have to get rid of some more stuff since there is an incredible amount of storage here and it looks like I will be needing to get a real bed too. I'm closer to the art village where all the events take place here. My new landlords are so awesome. Every time I turn around in here I find something really cool they've set up as a surprise for me. :rose:

Got moved in on Sunday. Now it's unpacking and reorganization hell. There is an incredible amount of storage here so I'll be down sizing even more. I had to dump the college loft and it looks like I'll probably have to grow up and get a real bed soon. The new landlords are so awesome everything I turn around there is something cool they've done as a surprise here for me. They put an American flag out in the garden area by my door. My outside light is green to honor my veterans and my bedroom wall accent color is police blue. They even put some cool butterfly night lights thru the place so I can see at night. They are so beautiful. Dixie the cat is turning out to be a cuddle kitty.

I'm really stuff and sore but the guys got me moved over in 2 hours, 2 trips and before the 10:30 Church service across the street when traffic gets crazy. I got pictures of how bad the old place was incase the slumlords try to mess with me.

Thx! This place us amazing. Especially when you see how I was living before.

Good for you, Starry....sounds like you're going to like it there!! :)
I'm still overwhelmed with all the unpacking. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to get rid of some more furniture. This place is amazing but right now I feel like I am living back on the road in a hotel.

END OF YEAR UPDATE ~

Well yesterday was PT eval day... Total mixed bag. I've improved my strength over all between the exercises and the moving. The bad area is that the rotator cuff still is weak and the bicep tear still burns when lifting any weight over 1/2 pound.

My PT is thinking it's the move stuff. Even though I'm not doing repeated lifting like in a PT setting, and I'm using things like computer chairs to move heavier boxes so I'm only doing minimum lifting / carrying... Plus once it hurts I take a break usually 30 minutes of unpacking = a couple hours of break. I see the ortho Tuesday and have 2 more sessions next week so I'll find out the next step on this shoulder. It's been 10 long months since surgery.

On a HUGE positive having real insulation and windows is amazing. It was down to 47 degrees here last night and with no heat on it was still 76 here inside the apartment. It is really surreal and still feels like I'm living in a residence suite hotel.

I need to do a more detailed update for the PlumFund account. I still can't get hooked into the land lady's net with my laptop even with the pass code. It's a router issue with the net set up here. I tried a couple times tethering the laptop with my android but can't get it hooked up. Small issue with all the changes to everything. I'm looking at 2017 is gonna be a new year = new life.

Congrats on the move Starry and it sounds like the new place is awesome. :D

Now you just need to get yourself all better during 2017 and let the good times roll.

Sounds like things are improving....Good fortune, and lots of hope to you in 2017....and your "new life"!! :)

A new year and a new start. I'm happy that your days are looking brighter. Keep positive!

Sounds like things are looking up. I hope 2017 is a terrific year for you!

Hi Starry,

Hope you enjoyed kicking 2016 to the curb! I hope this year will bring much more health and happiness. :)

Thanks Sweetie :rose:
The PT & my Docs are pushing new stuff and handing me my butt on a platter these days.
Things are not healing up as well and as fast as I want or they want.

Ok the nasty UPDATE...

Thursday the PT wasn't happy. I felt good on Tuesday & moved some things around to reset up my painting area in the new apartment. Then got in some groceries. That 45 minutes of moving stuff and the groceries was enough to kick my butt hard. so by Thursday I got my butt handed to me on a platter. She was calling the Ortho and asking for a new MRI. It's been 10 months and even tho I am doing my exercises & they can see my progress... the rotator cuff & the torn bicep are not healing correctly.

aww shit... sorry to hear things aren't healing correctly.
Hopefully more surgery isn't required.

I'm grounded all weekend & will find out from the PT what she accomplished on this.
It's cold here this weekend so being grounded is probably a good thing.

the good news is if the net holds out at the new place I'll have more Lit time :D
