Sexiest woman alive would be Monica Bellucci.

She definitely is, and especially her role in "Under Suspicion" highlighted that.

I hate to look so superficial because she's not a multifaceted actress. But for me it's Angelina Jolie, especially as Lara Croft and before she lost all that weight.

Have you seen her in Brotherhood of the Wolf? It's a beautiful but violent French film. There's a scene where she's on top of this guy, cuts his chest with a knife and licks the blood. Sounds gross, but hey it's Monica, she'd make knitting sexy. Also have you ever seen her in Irréversible? Fuck me, that's the hardest film I've ever watched I think. Not that any rape scenes are a barrel of laughs, but it's got the worst rape scene in ever. Not much disturbs me but that bloody film did.

That was a brutal scene. The first time I almost saw the movie was at a film festival. Neither I or my date were aware of the scene, but you sensed something sinister was going to happen in that tunnel. Even turning away from the screen was not enough.

I was not the only fellow who escorted a gal out of the theatre that day.

You're right. She's such a powerful and expressive actress on top of being stunning.

But perhaps that's what puts me off a bit too. Whenever I see her, I have this feeling that there are some raw emotions barely contained under that stunning and seductive face, and emotions being so contagious I don't like the way she makes me feel.
Sophie Marceau and Juliette Binoche make me feel a bit like that too.
Sounds weird, I know.

On the other hand, it's easier to admire the physique of actresses like Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox, who don't have such great innate talent and who's more bland acting doesn't ellicit such strong emotions.

It's really upsetting isn't it. I watched it but kept having to look away which is not like me at all. It never seemed to end. I have the dvd here and I'd like to watch a second time but every time I consider it I think I can't face it. Praps a watch once only movie!
