"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Benjamin Franklin 1755

We know what group the terrorists belong to. We have the profile down to a tee. The problem is that we have no idea as to which of them might become a "lone wolf" at any given time. We are spending billions at every level of government in order to protect ourselves from those eventualities.

Now this.

In and of itself that is just an isolated response, but similar responses are occurring nationwide. Inconveniencing, and quite frankly frightening, the public.

And while it's nice to know that the authorities know who the potential perpetrators are, the question is why in the hell are we tolerating this shit?

The Muslim community in the US, individually or collectively, are NOT worth the price that we are paying. Not in real dollars, nor in the sacrificing of our freedoms, privacy, or peace of mind. So what is the excuse that the government is using in their flooding out communities nationwide with thousands more. Thousands more that we have no way of vetting? (Yeah, yeah, Kerry and Obama say they are being vetted, the FBI and DIA say there is no fucking way.)

And if your response is, "They aren't all terrorists", save some bandwidth and don't bother to reply at all. Stating the obvious is NOT an answer to the question, or the problem. And quite frankly it would be gratifying if they all were terrorists. At least then they'd all blow themselves up or something and the problem would be solved.....wouldn't it? And don't bother with the, "that's who we are" bull shit either, neither you, Obama, Clinton, Trump, or anyone else get tp define who I am as an individual or what this nation is as a whole. Go play your fucking "bandwagon" marketing game elsewhere.

The solution really is as simple as running their asses out, declaring them 'persona non grata, and be done with it. If you want to make the argument that we should not only allow those that are here (the non-citizens) stay and allow even more in, them make it in terms of their contribution to society. Because quite frankly when the cost, as it is today, exceeds any current, or projected, benefit, then you're just playing 'it makes me feel good' games with other peoples money and peace of mind.

So step right on up and make your case.

Up until a few days ago, send them to Merkel seemed like a viable alternative.

As for current policy, it's insane.

Hate to tell you, but on a good day it is almost impossible to drive in the Old Quarter.

;) ;)

They might consider blocking it off permanently.

It's a real tourist "trap."

I do also feel compelled to point out that their tactics are evolving, effective, and easy to employ. As long as the intellectual Left is enamored of their movement and approving in their rhetoric for the little David standing up the the Giant Philistine, then the romanticism of martyrdom is going to grip the feverish imagination of those whose cultural leanings are so foreign to our that they are easily alienated and willing to take up the greater cause.

I mean, how much hope did President Obama give their movement in the waning days of his dying power?

Wasnt Franklin the guy who licked a kite in a lightning storm?

Using some psycho from 250 years ago as your moral foundation is pretty funny, even for ish.

BTW...
He was writing about a tax dispute between the Pennsylvania General Assembly and the family of the Penns, the proprietary family of the Pennsylvania colony who ruled it from afar. And the legislature was trying to tax the Penn family lands to pay for frontier defense during the French and Indian War. And the Penn family kept instructing the governor to veto. Franklin felt that this was a great affront to the ability of the legislature to govern. And so he actually meant purchase a little temporary safety very literally. The Penn family was trying to give a lump sum of money in exchange for the General Assembly's acknowledging that it did not have the authority to tax it.
It is a quotation that defends the authority of a legislature to govern in the interests of collective security. It means, in context, not quite the opposite of what it's almost always quoted as saying but much closer to the opposite than to the thing that people think it means.

Franklin was a pretty accomplished man both in and out of the bedroom...

Psycho may not be the best characterization of the man.

Its us or them

The WEST has chosen THEM

And that has what to do with what?

I've always found it amusing how liberals choose which parts of the Constitution are important.

That amendment doesn't even apply. This nation has routinely taken action against any organization that has represented a threat to the government or the people and done so without regards as to whether it was a religious organization or not. Putting it another way, we don't (or shouldn't) allow any violent organization to hide behind the mantle of religion.

Anyone remember the Branch Davidian's? And they weren't even a threat to the general populace.

So this is about keeping out immigrants of a different religion? The native American Indians would probably like to have a word with you.

See what happens when you let the Catholics in?

PS: with Ish, it's always about the filthy Muslims.

Yes, but it is a religion of intolerance, violence and war and extremely hostile to the idea of assimilating in any Western culture it turns to to mitigate the economic disaster that it brings upon itself with tribalism and mercantilism...

The Native American "Indians" if you're still uneducated by the PC culture to use that term, were no shrinking violets when it came to killing each other in the name of the tribe and territory. They even managed to kill a lot of whites too.

Too bad Hanns Schmidt isn't around to protect the USA.

He was mowing down muslim rodents with his gat a decade ago.

PS - Bush has been gone for eight years...

;) ;)

Go find some posts to prove that we approved of the releases instead of military trials and executions.

And Christians aren't violent? Humans seem to have difficulty getting along no matter what they believe and the answer, more often than not, is violence.

I'm not up on PC culture so I don't know what American Indians are referred to as these days. If the term is offensive, I apologize.
