And what happens in 2020, when another sets of leaks come (from Russia or another third party) and Trump loses to a democrat because by then there will be plenty Trump administration emails to hack. We going to go through this every election?
.
You're missing the point.
You're already rolling over to the Russians and saying Fuck me in the ass if you accept this as normal.
No, you're ignoring it.
Funny...it wasn't that way when Russia was on team Obama.
It wasn't that way when they were conspiring with (D) to sink Reagan.
Or any of the other times Russia was on team (D).
How come it's only bad when they aren't on team (D)?
Can you explain that?
Nope, I understood Olbermann's point. I just disagree with it.
There is no evidence Trump will be Putin's puppet. And of course they intervened for their own benefit. I never argued otherwise. But I believe their "benefit" is destabilizing our system. Which is exactly what will happen if a free election is overturned. There will never be faith in the system.
Again, I'm not accepting it as normal. We need to investigate it and prevent it from happening again. But you do not overturn an election on the "assumption" that the influence affected the election. How do you know that? You gonna talk to each voter and ask if the Wikileaks info changed their vote? Did it change yours? It didn't change mine.
By the way, I'm no fan of Trump. But I am a fan of the constitution and the will of the people. They spoke and he won.

I think there is strong evidence:
1. Trump's denials (first) and then outright lies about the hacking; his attack on the trustworthiness of the CIA; his complete disinterest in getting to the bottom of it; his refusal to see it as being of the slightest concern to US security.
2. His appointment of Rex Tillerson
Two good reasons to suspect he is or will be Putin's puppet
Trump has had enough actions to tell the time by. Have you seen the list? There's a lot of opinion in there but not "evidence." I hope you don't practice law.
None of what you state necessarily leads to an assumption Trump will roll over for Russia. We will have to agree to disagree. Time will tell by his actions.
Are you a paranoid schizophrenic by any chance?

Well Keith is just pointing out the Constitutionality of the EC not putting a crazy asshole in the White House. I believe Hamilton would approve.
Like what, Benghazi? Creating ISIS? Top secret e-mails? Whitewater, maybe?Quick, let me find the list of many scandals of the Clinton's. Not to mention hers were all while in public office (or her husband). But I'm sure if Clinton had won you'd be okay with it.
Constitutionally, yes, the electors can vote as they see fit. But that's the point "as THEY see fit." If the electoral college was designed to prevent mob rule then isn't it mob rule to try and get them to change their vote. Shouldn't they decide of their own conscious not from stupid commercials filmed by Hollywood wash ups or weeping dems?
As Hamilton said the electors were to be "free from pressure."
I disagree, Jack. If Hamilton saw what was going on now I don't think he would approve.
You're missing the point.
Putin wants a puppet to do his bidding, not someone who's going to slap sanctions on him. If they intervened, they did it with their own interests in mind. They released DNC emails, not RNC. And, it was the first time, at least the CIA is making known. Don't try and make it a run of the mill normal thing. and don't try and muddy the waters of why it happened.
To extend the analogy, in 2020 it would be a failing Trump about to lose to either a moderate Republican or Democrat. Meanwhile Russia has been doing just dandy. They don't want anything to change. This oil deal has worked out great for them. They want Trump to stay in office. So they'd try and do the same thing they did in this one.
You're already rolling over to the Russians and saying Fuck me in the ass if you accept this as normal.

I doubt that Hamilton would object to debate and advocacy on the issue. But he would disapprove of the threats and intimidation like we've seen in Texas. On that we can agree.
Texas electors face threats for defecting: ‘Vote for Trump or we rape your wife and daughters’
You seem to be completely missing the point, if there even is one. Trump has never, not ever, held a political office so, therefore, has never been the puppet of anybody. Furthermore, he can't :stay in" office. Can Obama or Silly Hilly say the same thing?
You don't think Putin's influence is not present in Dumptruck's choice of some of his Cabinet positions, or how he's going to shape his oil policy, foreign policy? Putin got the Prez he wanted, that's why Dump is suddenly his bff.
Plus, we don't know what the Russians got from the RNC. We don't know what he holds over Dump's head.

Must be a real scandal in there somewhere. Maybe you can find it.

None of those are real Clinton scandals. Psych! You found three for me. Benghazi, emails, and Whitwater. I wouldn't put the creation of ISIS on Clinton. That one goes to Obama.
