Lacuna Coil - Naughty Christmas

Todays WTF moment. I knew Lacuna Coil were aligning their sound towards the American taste in metal, but what the holy fuck is this? Wannabe Korn riffing, bad Five Finger Death Punch imitation screams and female vocals which would make even Courtney Love go look for the shotgun. I like Korn, I like some FFDP and even In This Moment, Flyleaf or Otep (not to be confused with OPETH), but this turns me off harder than a shower of mackarel on a rain-drenched M25 halfway to Oxford. Fuuuuuuuuck.

Where did I put that Twisted Sister Christmas album?

Whoah! I haven't heard this. I have 6 Lacuna Coil albums, and saw them live about 10 years ago. But thanks for the warning, I'll avoid this.

@J_R: Hey, I'm past my 40th already. Cut me some slack, 'kay? In my younger days, I partied through five days at Wacken, and now I pay the toll for that '98 was just freaking amazing, with Blind Guardian, Iced Earth and Cradle of Filth as my personal highlights.

If at that age, I start asking people to cut me some slack, I'm going to be awfully disappointed in myself.

Side story time: I've visited Mainz, Frankfurt, Heidelberg and the surrounding areas, and unfortunately, my comprehension level far surpasses my communicative abilities currently. Once anyone there learned I was actually an American, they only wanted me to speak English around them so that they could lose their own British accents learned in school. :/ I wouldn't be able to blend in so well anymore, I'm afraid, but I can understand you two.


And, imma continue my night with some more Lord of the Lost.
