Trump says he's going to cancel the contract for the next pair of air force one's, citing their $4b cost and cost overruns.
Despite the fact that only $170m has so far been spent.

Even when it comes to airplanes trump is detatched from reality, saying of his private jet that it “was bigger than Air Force One, which is a step down from this in every way”
Didn't he claim he had a big dick? He must be thinking internet inches.

Btw, Boeing called and said they will work with him to lower costs

Strong Horse getting redults with a mere tweet

Hillary lost.
I don't recall McCain lost or Romney lost posts from you every time someone started a thread about Obama.

I think $4 billion is excessive.
For design, development, building, testing and maintenance of two flying situation rooms?
Maybe it is, I have no idea, and I bet dollars to dough-nuts trump has no idea either.

But the solution to excessive costs for something that is needed isn't to arbitrarily say it should be canceled.
What's his next tweet going to be? The military should be canceled?

I think it's mostly just standard business strategy. Want something, ask for way too much and negotiate to where you wanted it in the first place.
Seems to be anyway since Boeing responded with a "we promise to be really, really careful" and most of his tweets ultimately amount to hot air.

I think that's his plan for SNL, too. Whine and cry and say it needs to be cancelled while actually hoping they'll just stop making fun of him. Won't work with them tho.

I think it's interesting that his Air Force One tweet came an hour or so after the Boeing CEO said something he perceived to be negative about him.
And it worked, Boeing's stock prince went down.

What's really funny about this story. NBC had to correct their first version. They tried to say that Trump lied about the 4B, that it was only going to cost 160M. They got called on their Faux News and added "Trump is right, the jet would end up costing over $4B after it is delivered."

Most of that shit works for him. He's not stupid, just an asshole. He knows exactly what he's doing most of the time.
He knew what he was doing during the campaign but it was so far out in left field nobody believed it. Now that he's changing position on many things just shows that it was all bullshit just to get elected. Same as anyone else, just done in a more crass, dickheaded manner.

Because he was probably looking at budget numbers and others were looking at money actually spent so far. Don't know for sure, guessing but that's how that shit usually works.

Is it needed though?

There is no way Obama wore out the last one.

We don't NEED more, I'm betting the only NEED is a contract for Boeing.

God I hope various parts of it are and I hope mad dog destroys every bit of PC social engineering bullshit from the warm and fuzzy left that has been done in the last 8 by raising standards back to where they should be.

The one Obama uses is over 25 years old I think. Not worn out but the older planes get the more expensive they are to maintain.

I think that's where costs can be cut. President Trump doesn't need to be flown everywhere. He can work from home like the rest of us.

Well, he doesn't really want to live in the White House like all the other presidents have done, so I guess he can stay in his gilded tower with Mel and Baby Barron and cause further million-dollar-per-day taxpayer-draining clusterfucks around Fifth Avenue.

I'll be willing to bet you haven't uttered "taxpayer funded clusterfucks" in the past eight years.

If it's truly old and nearing the end of it's serviceable flight hours then Trump is just a moron.

I thought O got new shit, but that might have been Marine1, I know he got a new air mobile G ride of some kind early on in his 1st term.

I distinctly remember all the (R)'s freaking fucking dog shit over the totally commie Kenyan terrorist Muslim price tag like it was going to cause the very fabric of space and time to unravel.

Too funny. Boeing is, among other things a military defense contractor very much dependent on government contracts. The left is always whining about how fat those contracts are. Rife with cost over-runs for things we don't need. The left is right.

Here comes Trump. World-renowned for re-negotiating after services are rendered and it is time for him to pay up. He will go chapter 11 in a heartbeat. Everyone knows these are not idle threats.

So he sticks it to the Military Industrial Complex and the Dems are NOT cheering? Seriously?

Are they going to whine if he brings them universal healthcare because he got a "deal" on it, down at Costco?

Oh...didn't know you were a gambling kinda alt. Hey, I like your moxie, kid!

What are you willing to bet? You got baccarat pockets, or what? :D

Yes, the millions already paid were for the R&D contract.
But the dumb ass left media is sooo desperate to stump Trump that they printed the story without having all the facts.

LMFAO.

Boeing's stock drop doesn't have a damn thing to do with Trumps tweet re. AF1. Although it does have something to do with Trump taking office.

Let's see who figures it out and how long it takes?

I dunno, I figure one investor saw that boeing may lose a contract so he dumped his stock. Then another saw the move and dumped his, too. A bit of a snowball effect.

Whatever happened doesn't really matter because it'll be back up tomorrow.

This new spin (Boeing Stock Price drops because of Trump's tweet) on the original story was just a "save face" move.

Some of my thoughts exactly.

It's almost as if they have forgotten about the evils of crony Capitalism in their desire to pronounce Trump a failure before even taking office.
