Leonard Cohen.

RIP, sir.

Talking about the dearly departed:

I am working my way through through David Bowie's back catalogue, all the way from Space Oddity to Blackstar.

I might consider skipping some of his stuff from the 80's, but we will see. ;-)

Currrent album: Young Americans.

Group 1850 - Agemo's Trip to Mother Earth

Arena - Songs From The Lion's Cage

Agalloch - Ashes Against The Grain

Marillion - Holidays in Eden (album)

before that

Manowar - Kings Of Metal (album)

Odd mix to write by, but I ended up with a good sex scene and some storytelling.

Moving on to Low.

Good stuff, 70's Bowie!:)

:)

BTW - Marillion just sold out their UK show at Royal Albert Hall ... in about 5 minutes.

Good news for the band that practically invented "crowd-funding" to finance their last few albums.

It only goes to show that the big entertainment corporations should pull their heads out of their asses and listen to what the fans ACTUALLY want. "There is no market for this kind of music." HA! Now, if someone could persuade Joss Whedon to FINALLY start a Kickstarter for Firefly Season 2...

On the other hand, crowdfunding can be such a double-edged sword. One look at Mighty No. 9 is more than enough. And yet, I did pitch in to fund two games - the first is the resurrection of ADOM (Ancient Domain Of Mystery) development, an Ascii roguelike which was very popular in the mid-90s. Every penny well spent. The game gained a ton of new features, bugfixes and even a Steam release. The other one is Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night, a spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, one of the best 2D sidescrolling games ever made. No idea how that will turn out in the end (because my rig is way too old to run the E3 demo at all), but I have high hopes.

Okay, sorry for the detour.
The Adventures of Duane and BrandO - LP of Devastation (album, duh!)

8-bit inspired Nerd music. https://youtu.be/vzZfMSkdvFk (probably not NFSW due to excessive swearing)

Slayer - skeletons of society
&
Sepultura - Orgasmatron (Motörhead cover)
