Primarily through the efforts of Presidents Nixon and Reagan, we had a delicate balance of power where the USA "formally" recognized Commie China as a government, would not "formally" recognize Taiwan BUT would continue to sell unlimited amounts of arms to Taiwan.

Delicate, but it worked. For over three decades.

Enter Cheeto Benito, the proverbial bull-shitter in the China shop.

He takes a call from the Taiwanese President to discuss a major expansion of Trump hotels in Taiwan.

Major diplomatic slap-in-the-face to China.

Trump is failing before he even assumes the mantle of office.
